@Black_D_Gamer1 Why does that matter? Both don’t have voice acting so bringing it up seems like an odd point to prove. You could’ve mention graphics at least since that’s something PalWorld has over Pokemon. If you’re gonna bring up a point, bring one that doesn’t contradict the other

@LeonCritiques Already brought it up. I agree. In this instance, if they’re going to animate the game with lip syncing in mind, they should’ve hired voice actors. Either do that, or scrap the animation.

Yes, not every game needs it. Some games could even be better without it(if for example, it allows it to have more dialogue options). It is just one more way that GF is being lazy and cheap.

@darkcola2 @Black_D_Gamer1 Cause Pokemon being rich wasn’t really a contentious criticism I didn’t think I need to bring up. Having no voice acting isn’t a requirement to a good game in fact having bad voice acting can make a game worse.

Palworld devs like it or not probably had more fun and soul making their current non AAA game vs the pokemon go and dual release gremlins chasing kids dollars.

Nintendo is out here charging $80 for Pokemon games, that don't even have voice acting in them.
Meanwhile, Pockepair is literally selling Palworld, at under $30, 2 years after launch, even after Early Access is over.
This says everything, about how anti-consumer Nintendo is.

@CFGim2 Which is something I do get where adding voice acting is needed. But they could’ve just not animated the game in that manner to avoid the lack of voice acting issue. Voice acting is a tool to enhance a game not a requirement that every game needs.

Look I get it, but Pokémon has been adding anime like cutscenes where the characters can be clearly seen opening and closing their lips just for all the dialogue to be delivered via textbox with no kind of voiceover for a couple entries now and it is jarring

@Bryanneod237 @Black_D_Gamer1 That’s not what I saw. More people disliked the inclusion of voice acting because it’s not what they envisioned in their head. I’m not one of them, really it was only Zelda’s voice I have issue with, but people did not like the VA in Breath of the Wild.

It does, because Pokemon is one of the most profitable franchises on the planet. Spawned multiple anime adaptations WITH voice acting, mind you!
Yes, it's behooven of Nintendo to add voice acting to a game, that they're charging $70+ for!

@Bryanneod237 @OmegaSomebody @Black_D_Gamer1 No it’s not, you saw the word too and misinterpreted that somehow as me liking Pokemon. If you really want my opinion on it, Pokemon has 9 generations, and I only like Gen 4 and 5. Hard to defend a series if I only like 2/9 of it not counting side games.

@Shamsy_UT @Oni_Maku @Black_D_Gamer1 I haven’t played every VN but the ones I did play, voice acting is either present sparingly or barely at all. Either way, doesn’t affect much of the quality of the game. It’s a kinda cool think but you can design a game without it.

Besides animated cutscenes which generally happens only once per chapter or the objection and take that sound effects, the game is mostly text boxes. There’s also Doki Doki Literature Club which only has VA at the end, and even then, it’s a music piece.

@EnKamui @Black_D_Gamer1 They probably do but why include it when text boxes do the job for them? The only time I see when they need notice acting is for during certain cutscenes which animates like they need voice acting, which at that point, why bother animating it?
