Who in the heck is @TheBizDad ?! I’ve built 2 businesses from scratch to 7 figures in revenue, only to lose it all twice. A devastating car accident forced me to close my 1st company, a used car dealership. And later, I launched a 3PL, then saw it crumble due to poor decisions. May 2023 was the start to my 3rd business, a cleaning company. What began as a vision to grow my “remote residential cleaning company”, quickly shifted to 100% commercial cleaning as of January 2024. It’s amazing to see how far we’ve come with $1500 and a dream just a year ago, to now $750k in revenue our first full calendar year. In 2025 we will be entering our 2nd year of business with a goal of $3 million revenue. It’s taken a lot of work to get here, and even more work will be needed to get to where we are going. A year ago I would’ve never imagined to be here today. I credit it all to: -A united family. It’s been a long ride for my wife, my kids and myself for these last 6 years. I am grateful we weathered the storm and are now closer than ever before. -Teamwork. You can only do so much alone, but together, anything is possible. Our internal team is growing and SOPs are the upmost priority. -Mentors. I’ve surrounded myself with very successful / wealthy ppl. And I ask for nothing, I just have a desire to learn and apply their wisdom to my life. -Trusting in God 100%. I know that without His love, grace and mercy, I’m not here today. He opens doors that no man can close. I make sure I’m in constant preparation, so when an opportunities arises, I’m ready.

Google Maps is such an untapped data source. I have a full SOP on how I build and scrape my google maps lists that I filmed for my internal hires. Like + Comment "maps" and I'll DM you the full SOP - just give me good feedback.

Some of the best lessons don’t come from a classroom. They come sitting across the table from someone who’s had nothing, someone now full of wisdom and success. I recently had lunch with my mentor and asked him how to make the most of time. He grabbed the receipt, wrote this note, and slid it across the table: GSD = Get Shit Done. Here’s the truth: • Average entrepreneurs = do just enough. • Good entrepreneurs = do better than enough. • Outliers = keep getting better at getting better. That receipt is now framed on my desk. It reminds me daily: success rarely comes from being the most skilled, it comes from being the most disciplined. Commitment and consistency are key. Keep pushing, keep building, keep delegating… And above all: “Get comfortable with being uncomfortable.”

“Everybody wants your spot until they realize the weight that comes with it. They think they want the shine, but they do not want the pressure, the sacrifice, the scars. The position looks good from the outside until they see what it costs to hold it. A leader earns respect in silence and pays dues in blood. People see the results but they never see the late nights, the setbacks, the pain you swallowed just to keep going. That is why they can want your spot, but they will never survive in it. Protect your position. Protect your grind. Because what you carry is not just a title, it is responsibility, sacrifice, and legacy. It is proof that you can stand where most people would fold.”

Full window treatment is included, so we’re taking care of it. It wasn’t specifically mentioned and probs could’ve request a changed order but tbh they’re doing a ton of other big work on the area and want to be flexible where possible. If it was a much bigger change in $ expenditure for us, I would’ve pushed for a change order

Big jobs have been accumulating, and it has caused me to go AWOL on here, but I’ve been learning a ton and will be more active: The big construction job we started a few weeks back has had MANY ups and downs. Most recently our interior crew was sent back because we were working too quickly for the painter, and it would’ve caused us to have to reclean many spaces. The super on site also told us they wanted the bluemax taken off before it got too hot, so I had to hire a team to begin pulling off. I did not account for this, as I had assumed we’d be able to use the swing stages, but they were taken off site. In total, this is going to add ~$5,000 to our costs… The worst part about these huge jobs is that you really don’t know what will be left until much later down the road. You can run as many estimates and bake as much room for error in as you want, but shit always goes wrong and there are always unaccounted for obstacles that come up. That said, these types of projects are what will propel us to the seven figure jobs, and I can’t wait!

It’s all what you make of it. From my experience, BNI is not for me, but is great for anyone being consistent and willing to attend weekly and build those relationships that align with the industry you’re in. The chamber on the other hand has been huge for several reasons. I don’t market our business but I’m more so there to shake hands and build meaningful relationships. And through building those relationships, we’ve in turn landed several contracts. One way or another , they are already using cleaning services, it’s all about branding and staying fresh on their minds. Similar to what you’re doing now with fb groups.

Any other home service biz owners join your local chamber of commerce? ~$275 for the year but it kinda seems like another crapshoot along the lines of BNI 😂
