@TheBlessed05 depends what pool you’re pulling from. race averages, casual runners, parkrun, big city events, trained runners… all give different answers. but the bigger point is most people online massively overestimate what “normal” running looks like.

How fast is the average person actually running? 🏃‍♂️ 5K → around 34:00 🏃‍♂️ 10K → about 1:12:00 🏃‍♂️ Half Marathon → roughly 2:30:00 🏃‍♂️ Marathon → somewhere near 5:20:00 But here’s the part people don’t talk about. Most of the numbers you see come from race results… which means they’re already skewed toward people who trained for it. That’s not the true “average person.” Reality is… a lot of people can’t even run these distances without stopping. So if you can go out there and cover it, even slowly, even messy… you’re already ahead.

It absolutely makes sense to do proper due diligence - don’t be over emotional. Carrick has done brilliantly as interim.. big results, CL spot, dressing room buy-in. No one denies he deserves consideration. But euphoria aside, underlying metrics, xG overperformance, and eye-test concerns point to sustainability risks and tactical limitations. Only right due diligence and considerations are made, but as I said and you blatantly ignored - he still would be deserving of the job if he got it. Chill being so sensitive.

If Kieran McKenna presented himself for the Manchester United job… would you be tempted to pivot from Carrick? Carrick is deserving of the job off results BUT you can argue that McKenna has a higher ceiling game model & a better resumé.

If there’s any chance of signing Tchouameni this summer, I’m taking him over Elliot Anderson every time. One would likely cost around £70m and is a quality, physical defensive midfielder who would immediately raise the team's floor. The other is likely to break the Premier League record for the most expensive midfielder, and I don't think it would be wise for us to break the bank like that right now. If Tchouameni isn’t gettable, then we should go all out for Baleba.
