Hyper-scaling Ethereum state by creating new forms of state: ethresear.ch/t/hyper-scalin… Summary: * We want 1000x scale on Ethereum L1. We roughly know how to do this for execution and data. But scaling state is fundamentally harder. * The most practical path for Ethereum may actually be to scale existing state only a medium amount, and at the same time introduce newer forms of state that would be extremely cheap but also more restrictive in how you can use them. * In such a design, the present-day state tree would over time become dominated by user accounts, defi hub contracts, code, and other high-value objects, while all kinds of individual per-user state objects (eg. ERC20s balances, NFTs, CDPs) would be handled with cheaper but more restrictive tools. Making the developer abstractions to make this easy to implement for the use cases that make up >90% of state today seems very doable.

@herogamer21btc @axopoa Yes. Exactly... Especially in a world where everyone move too fast, the organization bureaucracy is a problem. That's the reason many devs that won hackatons jumps to one to another. Devs do this while they wait for the payment 🤣. A friend lived off hackathons for a year. Won 9.

@herogamer21btc @axopoa The other problem is that the organization usually don't puch or offer somethings else after the hackaton. For example, it could be nice to actually integrate the idea, most of the time your idea will be just used as marketing not as a real thing.

@herogamer21btc @axopoa Many of the winners are just ignore after they won anything. Even if they make the product that's the thing the chains often ignore the winners it is not just vibecoider fault, or they also take several months to pay. Devs move to something else.

“without any plan to release a real product.” Is the key thing I always say needs to be addressed.
If any of these hackathons even I can just participate as a vibe coder, and I as a “good actor” I do not have plan to release a usable product that generates transactions, and there are many hackathons for me to hack to try win money, the incentive is to keep doing the hackathons.
It’s not just hackathon, grants programs in crypto is the same.
We need the outcome of all these to be optimized and designed in a way that drives the incentives towards eventual release of a product that users will be using and interacting with blockchain in some capacity.
Killer product(s) so to speak.
