Landlords who forget to send this PDF to their tenants will be fined up to £7000 per rental. It’s now a legal requirement to give tenants the official Renters’ Rights Act Information Sheet 2026 by 31 May 2026. The ones most likely to forget to send? Small landlords, not big institutions. This is part of the Government's plan to transfer homeownership from the middle class to elite hedge funds and institutions. The PDF is found here gov.uk/government/pub…

I just searched for a standard family home, 3 Bed, semi-detached to rent in my area and literally not ONE property is available. The renters rights act will destroy ordinary families after landlords have removed their properties from the market and/or sold up! If you don’t believe me, put your postcode in and look for yourselves 🏡

US fertility rates just hit another record low In 2025, the US general fertility rate fell to 53.1 - the lowest level ever recorded Japan, South Korea, and Germany have already been shrinking for years. Japan has been shrinking for years, South Korea’s population has already started to decline, and Germany would be shrinking without immigration Now the UK joins them - deaths will outnumber births every single year starting in 2026 No economy grows without people No pension system survives without young workers No culture persists without families having children This is the slowest civilizational crisis in human history

@tolad_ @Tomorihezekiah The law is unevenly weighted in the tenants favour. Years of abuse by landlords have inadvertently caused the pendulum to swing too far. It’s not even a level playing field

@OgaHans An old friend of my from 25 years back , Nigerian guy, went into care as a “temporary” measure…. Fast forward 25 years and he’s still there , same thing , same job and same excuses. I’ve stopped meeting him now because he was like a broken record repeating the same rhetoric.

The math most gringos haven't run... $500/month gets you a full-time maid in Latin America That means: → No cleaning → No cooking → No grocery runs → No errands Unless you actually want to Do the math: 20 hours/week × 4 weeks = 80+ hours a month back to your family...For $500 Geoarbitrage is changing, but it's far from dead

Homelessness is set to sky rocket. People are gonna end up renting on short term stays, instead of actual tenancy agreements or settle for HMOs🏡 The UK rental market will be cooked! The banks and large companies are set to profit 👍🏾

Fuel prices go up, nobody refuses to pay at the petrol station. Food prices go up, nobody refuses to pay at the supermarket. Rail fares go up, nobody refuses to buy a train ticket. Why is it only landlords people think it’s okay to refuse to pay when they’re increase rents after having to pay more taxes? Very cheeky of you to suggest refusal to pay Charlie…
Moving Home with Charlie@moving_charlie

You aren’t obliged to accept an increase. Rents in some areas are falling. Landlords are getting more worried about void periods. They don’t want to lose you. If it feels unfair (eg above what you’d pay for a similar place) push back. You can renegotiate, meet in the middle or flatly refuse and say you’ll find somewhere else. Don’t just roll over.
