*Contented sigh*… This is Sunday done right! A brisket (bought @TheButcherySE23) that’s been on the BBQ since 7am, served with a 2015 @MitoloWines “Seventh Son”, a blend of Grenache, Shiraz and Sagrantino. Already a beautiful wine, but got years ahead of it yet.

A tiny story. I've met Johnson twice, the 1st time in 1999. Bunch of hacks grabbed lunch at Tory party conference in Bournemouth. The 2nd time was a decade later on the One Show Sofa. He recalled exactly where and when we met. Whatever he claims he has a seriously good memory.

The key point is not that Boris Johnson received a penalty notice. The key point is that the fine proves he has repeatedly lied to parliament about his actions during COVID. Democracy requires - for voting for accountability - leaders who tell the truth. He must go.

@TurnerandGeorge Used to subscribe to the Basque process of salting the hell out of the steak (draws moisture out, leads to a better crust theory), and then scraping off. More recently, very little salt at all. Just finish once sliced with Maldon. Less is more with banging beef, I find.
