I’m sorry, but pulling this obvious little stunt against J.D. Vance, whose wife just gave birth, when Mitch McConnell hasn’t been seen in weeks is absolutely absurd. What are we even doing here.

i think the controversy over US attorneys is a kind of window into the legal right's soul. It's common sense why neither the Constitution nor Congress goes full unitary executive on appointments of prosecutors. Prosecutors aren't supposed to prosecute anyone POTUS wants to.

BREAKING: Iran is seriously considering a ground incursion into Kuwait to seize U.S. military bases, including Camp Buehring and either Camp Arifjan or Ali Al Salem Air Base, if Washington continues its military campaign against Tehran, according to Prominent Iranian journalist and analyst Mahdi Khanalizadeh and former Iranian Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki. Mahdi Khanalizadeh: "Kuwait is considered one of Iran's principal options for a potential ground incursion aimed at seizing the two U.S. military bases located within the country." Former Iranian Foreign Minister Mottaki previously said Iran could launch a ground operation to capture U.S. troops and take them as prisoners to Iran if necessary, while Iranian officials have warned that "no political border will be safe" and that Tehran would shift to a "full-scale offensive" if U.S. strikes continue.

NEW: @ZohranKMamdani is in "active conversation" with city lawyers over whether to arrest @netanyahu when he's in NYC for UNGA. Legal experts have raised doubts about this and the mayor said he's unsure of his legal authority to do it, but is studying it: nytimes.com/2026/07/18/nyr…

Mayor Mamdani: here’s why your threat to arrest PM Netanyahu’s in NYC during UNGA is not going to happen: 1. The U.S. is not party to the Rome Statute that underlies the ICC, 2. The UN Headquarters Agreement grants diplomatic protections to visiting heads of gov’t, 3. head-of-state immunity applies, & 4. federal authority trumps any local mayor’s wishes. This is pure political theater. justthenews.com/government/loc…

Ashley Webb - a Democrat contender to replace Graham Platner for U.S. Senate: "I don't want to hurt anybody, I just want to use the bathroom...if they want me to use the men's room I will but I don't want to be assaulted."
