My brothers and sisters in Christ. To be like Christ, you’ve got to live out the Beatitudes! When you align your life with them, all the promises of heaven come rushing in. But stop right there and think about this: None of those Beatitudes promise you prosperity down here on this earth. They’re all about the world to come, the eternal reward. And when you start living them out, Christ Himself warns us—they’re gonna persecute you for it! You’ll be attacked, tempted, swayed every which way. But I tell you, endure! Hold on tight! For God’s promises? They’re eternal, amen!

A poor prayer prayed is a prayer nonetheless!!

Why would Jesus get baptized and not expect the same from us? Jesus calls us to him. He was baptized so you and I know to get baptized. Jesus showed up at the wedding in Cana to show us we must be present in his house when we marry. Jesus calls us to communion by breaking bread and teaching the disciples. Jesus calls us to him. Go to Mass, go to confession, go to him. And most importantly, get baptized.

You can only have one priority and that’s Christ. For if one says they have multiple priorities in their life then none of their priorities is a priority. You just have a bunch of things that are important to you. However, if Christ is your only priority, the priority, then everything else in your life will fall into his plan.

Do not forget your one job in this lifetime: you have to make the Book of Life. From the time you enter this world until the day you go home, your job is to get your name in that Book of Life. Do not lose sight of that.

Every Sinner has a Future. Every Saint has a past.

God has given us many great paths to follow him. Through his Son we can follow God. Through his Church we grow in communion with God. Through prayer our spirit flourishes and embraces all the gifts God has to offer us. My deepest fear is when I die God shows me all the things I could’ve had or overcome if I only prayed about it. Talk to God. Pray daily!!

Yes, early Christians prayed for intercession of the Virgin Mary. Preserved on a papyrus, dating to AD 250, includes the following: "Mother of God, hear my supplications: do not allow us to remain in adversity, but deliver us from danger."

Many of us know God and believe in Him, but that is not what He asks of us. God asks that we love Him and be a part of Him—to have full faith and trust in Him. Adam and Eve knew God, but they chose themselves first. Choose God, put full faith in Him, and obey His commandments.

This New Year, may we all pray for one another—for our families, neighbors, and friends. Pray that their prayers are heard and come true. If God can answer their prayers, that’s good enough for me, for I need nothing but that the prayers of all my loved ones are heard and answered.

“Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The fervent prayer of a righteous person is very powerful.” -James 5:16

To understand what Catholics are doing when they pray vs when they worship: We pray to ask, we worship to serve and show adoration.
