The story of the by-elections was a total COLLAPSE of Conservative voters❗️ University-Rosedale Went from 14,624 to 3,843 Scarborough Southwest Went from 16,652 to 5,300 Terrebonne Went from 10,961 to 1,551 Where did Conservative voters go? This is alarming for the CPC.

@TheClash709 @TheVaticat I had something similar happen to me. I checked out the book Irreversible Damage by Abigail Shrier and a librarian had put in it a pro-trans pamphlet. And yes, in Canada. BC. I did not ask for that.

I just remembered Kathleen Stock's 'Material Girls' - one of the books I requested that were turned down then a year later suddenly approved (Helen Joyce's 'Trans' was the other.) By the time I checked out 'Material Girls' so many people had read the copy it was worn out. People had underlined passages, written question in the margins. People were reading it.

@TheClash709 @coachblade Copy in general admin, in that case. You don’t have to terf out if you’re enrolled and concerned about getting offside with them, there’s several arguments for why this would be unacceptable behaviour from any member of staff.

@TheClash709 @coachblade Addendum: It’s not a free speech issue to say a member of staff shouldn’t swear at clients at work. It’s unprofessional and discourteous. He doesn’t know WHY you were reading the book — it says a lot for his position that he assumed you were a terf based on sex and knowing stuff.

@thatbloodybird @coachblade It's a uni library. It's the uni who is at fault for encouraging this behaviour.

@TheClash709 @coachblade Ask to speak to his supervisor. Complain he swore at you and was aggressive. Inform them you’ll be putting a complaint in in writing as well, and copy it to whichever local politician/s are responsible for library oversight (local council probably).
