George Farmer is part of a pan-European identitarian movement that sees Christianity not as a true religion but as an expression of European culture. Protestantism and Judaism are the enemy because they promote nationalism, which tears apart a Europe united by the RCC empire.

There are a lot of problems with the Evangelical Church but in terms of attendance it's still the strongest block in the US. I don't like this silly feminization of everything but singling them out shows you're either lying or ignorant.

I appreciate the ecumenism, and I’m always open to discussing disagreements. There is a whole world of small to mid to large non-denominational evangelical churches that do not remotely match your account of a few people in a few mega churches in parts of Texas. When I said you act like those you criticize, I mainly meant that your account of evangelicals is as inaccurate and unfair as many evangelical accounts of Catholics.

Most of my Protestant friends from my old church just said “cool!” when I told them I was becoming Catholic… lol totally unexpected because of what I see on here.

This is so true. Even my Bapticostal neighbors here in rural NC don't seem to harbor much animus against Catholicism. But X is a steaming cesspool of toxic anti-Catholic bigotry. I mostly see it among Orthobros, but they've brought it over from their previous Protestantism.

If you’re going to compare what I say to the actual physical and verbal assaults Catholics face (that I’ve faced personally) from evangelicals in the South, I’m not sure what to tell you.

Bigotry is when one suggests a Catholic cannot be truly American, not when someone disagrees with transubstantiation. Physical assault, intense hatred that manifests in action (intentionally lying about what Catholics believe out of hatred for example), and so on would also fall into that category. I say evangelicals are wrong and I critique their culture. I am not bigoted towards evangelicals. My entire family is evangelical and so are most of my friends. If I'm bigoted against them, I'm doing a rather poor job of being a bigot.

If your definition of #liberty is "the freedom to do what you ought to do," chances are you are a Papist who would jail Martin Luther (because YOU, the emperor, decide what "ought" to be done). The Protestant definition of liberty is "the freedom to be self-controlled."
