Why I Don’t Love the Seahawks Tackling Video! I’ve got strong feelings about how we teach tackling. Every time I share my contrarian take, someone pulls up this 10+ year old Seahawks video. There are definitely some good things in it, but parts are undeniably contradictory and I just can’t agree with them. As a former teacher, I could see these things being posted around a football complex as you’re always trying to find different medium to teach your content since people learn differently. I think players watch film, they see it out at practice in drills, hear it explained and I think maybe just an effort by Memphis to have still pictures maybe posted in the meeting rooms or around the locker room again just to have a different medium to show what they’re looking for as a program.
