@timsoret I'm not sure how I feel about this. It's exciting that a single guy can make an animation or movie on par with hollywood but what if our software skills become obsolete. It's scary and exciting at the same time. Me, fucking confused it's the evolutionary period of media

For the second year, @levelsio has organized the Vibe Jam, and I am jury. I think what he's doing is important:
1. Games are intricate software puzzles with the multiplicative complexity of hardcore engineering x creative problems.
2. While AI is now incredibly helpful in most disciplines like legal, programming, healthcare, maths, chemistry, and physics, they aren't great for large creative problems like making games yet.
3. Which is why I think the Vibe Jam is becoming an important yearly benchmark to appreciate progress in the field. Each game submitted has to be 90% AI.
4. Yes, don't expect masterpieces, it's still slop & very far from what gamedevs currently achieve, and that's the point: to measure the trajectory of this tech & the growing accessibility of games development. It's my way of staying ahead of the curve, and particularly relevant to my work, The Last Night (@TLN_Game).

@timsoret It’s the optimal, morally correct choice, but it depends on others choosing blue, and that’s a gamble I don’t trust. I’m Jack’s confusion so do we do what's optimal or what makes more sense logically.

In basic game theory, red is rational, and blue irrational, because red is always safe no matter the outcome, coordination or not.
But red, while safe individually, risks the death of many irrational blue, which isn’t an optimal outcome.
Therefore blue it is, to maximize the chances of saving them.

Assuming no possible coordination:
If everybody was rational, we would all individually pick red & be safe without needing coordination, trusting that the sum of individual interests would lead to the most optimized outcome.
Except that many humans are irrational & dogmatic, and driven by idealistic / empathetic concerns, would pick blue, even if that requires coordination which is not guaranteed & which puts them as risk.
Knowing this, even if you’re initially inclined to vote red, the actual moral choice, to avoid the death of those willingly putting their lives at risk, is to vote blue to maximize the chances of saving everybody.
In short, if you know that others are not perfectly rational agents, to save them you have to go along with their irrationality, which is counter intuitive.

Everyone in the world has to take a private vote by pressing a red or blue button. If more than 50% of people press the blue button, everyone survives. If less than 50% of people press the blue button, only people who pressed the red button survive. Which button would you press?

Elden Ring feels like an ancient legend of mythical proportions. Skeptical about the movie's ability will recreate this feeling. I don't see any particular attention to lighting & atmosphere here. It's quite plain.
