@BarrySchust You probably want Brett for the totality of his career but in his first 10 years Boggs numbers were just nuts. From 82-91 his numbers were BA: .345, OBP: .435 SLG: .471 with 400 doubles. Either way not a bad choice.

Okay so I asked myself "is Gerrit Cole HOF?" and figured probably yes. CYA, black ink, 6x CYA top-5, a 300-K season, and voters don't care about wins. Then I asked myself "which team's logo?" and suddenly felt like... maybe he's NOT a HOF'er? No ring, no more than 59 W anywhere.
