Be insanely obsessed with a character and draw them everyday, you might not satisfied with the first and second day and so on, but as long as you're happy while doing it, you'll get better.. Consistency is the key

Artists, what’s the most important advice/lesson that you’d give to beginner artists?

In my honest opinion I believe the industry is dead. Like, forever. As economic and climate collapse worsens more and more industries will follow suit until nothing is left. It’s a shame that the arts were the first to go, but makes sense. The ROI is low.

When I was 27, Cartoon Network picked up my show idea for development. Over 5 years, they tasked me & my writing partner w/building out the show into an all-ages series for HBO Max, which was new at the time. We outlined 3 full seasons complete w/designs, & then they shelved it.

Every job listing for paid work I’ve seen for art needs senior level experience or at least 4 years of work in the field. Just curious how one gets the experience. Unpaid internships for a month or two needed on site appearance, but cant relocate bc no money and no payment.
