Why do so many people ask so many silly questions about The Boys when it's all been explained in the show?

it was revealed in s5 that sage’s master plan all along was to cause world war so no one would bother her and she’d read books all day. so then why did she come back in s4 finale after homelander fired her and left her alone? this doesn’t make sense
