@CentristClash @NAFORaccoon Not exactly... the Russian people collectively have supported Putin. There's very little dissent. And yes I know that it's because Putin controls the narrative, but Russians tend to not care what is done in the name of Russia anyway and there's little interest in world affairs.

@p0mp0m10 @VerdictMMA Also, while it would have sucked for Magny to have lost the fight due to the ref mistakenly thinking he was out, the rules DO say that once the fight is stopped, it can't be restarted, even when it was due to a bad call from the ref. So it should be applied here even if it sucks.

MMA Referee Jim Perdios got BAILED OUT by the end of the round buzzer sounding. He thought Neil Magny went out from Jake Matthews’ guillotine choke, “stopped” the fight but then said it was the end of the round. Crazy. #UFCPerth

@p0mp0m10 @VerdictMMA There is no good outcome once a ref makes a call as bad as that. Jake's composure could have been affected by the emotional rollercoaster, and Magny felt like he had a second chance. Huge potential momentum shift.

@xbanditsolo @RashadFace_MMA @FeechAprile @VerdictMMA I had nothing on the line and it annoys me. I'm not saying I'm sure it changed the eventual result but Jake did let go of the choke before the round finished and the rules say once a fight is stopped it can't be restarted. At best it should be no contest due to a ref screw up.

@AceCezary @VerdictMMA Magny wasn't out - fine. But refs have made the wrong call before and it has stood despite it being wrong. You can't call a fight off and then change your mind. Jake Matthews released the squeeze before the end of the round because he was TOLD to stop.

@nothyphenated @Osinttechnical Shurely there will be more defences if they tried another attack this time around. Usually for these kinds of attacks you would only get one chance before they learn where their weaknesses were...?

@Osinttechnical I dads, no ships hit (that we know of yet) - this hit was against a hardened concrete/masonry jetty, there won’t be much damage, but there’ll be panic - I think this was a probing run to get intel on defences for later on hits

@medhead @jurgen_nauditt What? Regardless of what Australia is or isn't, a reporter from that country should have absolutely nothing to do with the relationship between the US and Australia. Trump needs to grow up and stop blackmailing media into going easy on him.

Reporter: Should a president engage in such active entrepreneurial activity? Trump: Where are you from? Reporter: From Australia. Trump: You're doing Australia a lot of damage right now. I'm going to tell your leader about this. Shut up. Trump threatens Australia because a reporter is doing his job. What a disgusting weakling.

@xTAVIx @Osinttechnical Oh? Russia is 'responding' by attacking civilian apartment buildings. And it's been doing that for far longer than Ukraine has been attacking oil refineries. So who is responding to who? Russia started the damn war, and is responsible for far greater war crimes than Ukraine.

@GamingXcaptian @PhilipDartnell @Vinod_r108 @crazyclips_ So you start with making a guess and deeming it 'most likely', then proceed to work on the assumption that he got tired of people using his property without permission - despite zero evidence of this, but nonetheless believing you are 100% right. It's most likely not private.

@PhilipDartnell @Vinod_r108 @crazyclips_ It's private property most likely. Therefore the property owner doesn't have to do anything. He got tired of ppl using his property without permission. I'd do the same shit.. but I'd paint it to match the background on the front and watch them g etc clotheslined. XD

@YubranDomain @Matthewtravis08 @Sammy50408897 You don't need to have fought side by side with Vance to know what his combat experience is. It's public record. And he can be a spineless piece of shit regardless of whether he saw combat anyway, that's not disputable. What's in dispute is his understanding of true sacrifice.

@BrandonFugal @MarkHaynes @ericweinstein Think about it this way: If smaller allies don't quite contribute the same proportion of their GDP per capita to defense spending as the US, that is their choice right? But if they WERE to spend the same or more, should they expect access to US bases in return? Isn't that fair?

@BrandonFugal @MarkHaynes @ericweinstein And lets not forget that the US, in exchange for providing protection to smaller allies, has the use of many strategic military bases worldwide. This isn't just a side benefit of being allies. The US wants and needs these bases for their OWN strategic goals.

Given how the U.S. is behaving in a manner that other nations find unexpected, I am assuming that this administration's instantiation of "America First" is going to ultimately lead to nuclear proliferation well beyond where it is now. Perhaps that will turn out to be wrong, but it seems quite likely to me. May I get a read from my most enthusiastic "America First" friends: do you expect this? If so, is this troubling to you? Do you think I am incorrect that if the U.S. pulls back from historical agreements and commitments that nuclear proliferation will result as the world's policeman retires or goes on an indefinite donut break? Am I not getting what is going on? I'm guessing I am going to hear a lot of rationalizations like "It was gonna happen anyway so we might as well give up the ghost and get on with whatever comes next." or "Trump has a plan for this." or "Nukes don't matter anymore." or "They wouldn't dare under Trump." etc. It would be great *not* to have those braindead bot-level conversations. We can all do rationalizations in our sleep without help...myself included. I'm curious as to whether those viewing this situation with unconflicted enthusiasm at least share a general sketch of a long-term plan for a multi-polar world with say 50+ nuclear nations, or believes there is a plan to stop that from happening as the U.S. disentangles from the world. I have no clue, as I have heard no such plan or even much discussion of this issue. Thanks in advance. 🙏

5. Baltimore, 1946 The white marble steps of Baltimore were once the city's trademark. Homeowners took pride in scrubbing them daily, ensuring they stayed bright. Over time, countless footsteps carved smooth grooves into the stone, marking the passage of generations.

@worldtraveleram @Globalstats11 @PicturesFoIder Totally agree. So many people seem to think that you should never ever upset a cop. I mean, that might be true in terms of self preservation (sadly), but ultimately an angry cop is that angry's cop's problem. They should act responsibly/lawfully regardless of their hurt feelings.

@Globalstats11 @PicturesFoIder I’m sure it angered the cop, but was it illegal? If not, that police officer just violated somebody’s civil rights. If that’s the case, as many have commented here already, then this guy will easily win a lawsuit against this police officer.

@3TonyStark3 @rawr___0_o @Iiamhorne @Rothmus Your logic is just stupid. Fine, she doesn't have the right to unnecessarily punch the dude. We're all in agreement about that. But then you make a leap of logic and claim that because she hit him unreasonably, that he is allowed to slam her head into the ice? Not how it works.

@3TonyStark3 @IamnotJarred @Iiamhorne @Rothmus There's this thing in most legal jurisdictions where retaliatory violence is only acceptable when it is proportional and necessary to avoid or defend against violence. Eg, if she hits him, he can hit her back and subdue her, but he can't slam her just because 'she asked for it'.
