I find playing Sawgrass to be mentally exhausting in the best possible way. If you're trying to make a score, it's two hands on the wheel at all times. Every shot is a problem with a clear solution and plenty of potential consequences. This creates a very present, very memorable round of golf. The kind where you remember specific shots years later. Pinehurst No. 2, Prairie Dunes, NGLA, Palmetto, Erin Hills, Chambers, and several others all give me that same feeling. All very different courses, but none will let you drive on autopilot. Those are my favorite kinds of rounds.
