Doom 3 gets way more hate than it deserves. It traded speed for atmosphere and absolutely nailed the horror. Twenty years later, it's still one of the most immersive FPS games ever made. Fight me.

"It took me years to realize that Inca and pre-Columbian architecture is directly related to the structure of the corn kernels. In a western model of thought, one might judge the shapes as irregular, but in a universal thought, everything is a correlation between the cosmos, science, art and humanity." (Fractal Nature) As you can see, the organic growth forms are represented in a logarithmic way, and the fact that these pentagonal, hexagonal and heptagonal blocks coincide with the corn forms. - Juan Casco The lack of symmetry in the walls helps dissipate the energy of the earthquakes. They were incredible engineers. Japanese researchers studied Machu Picchu after the Kobe earthquake and realised that these Inca structures had not been damaged by an earthquake. #archaeohistories

@N64iac I fully believe she was going to infiltrate ethans house and steal rose but she was there for at least a few days, maybe weeks, so she clearly stopped with that plan. She wants to be a mother so I think she would've fully impersonated Mia if nothing intervened

Mirandas evil plan was cooking for Ethan, caring for Ethan, loving Ethans child, getting all of her holes filled nightly by Ethan, getting plowed in every room in the house by Ethan, snuggling next to Ethan to watch movies, going out for walks with Ethan,

There Is No New Study on the Origins of the Minoans and Mycenaeans — The 2017 Research Is Simply Being Recycled In recent days, numerous reports in both Greek and international media have presented as a “new discovery” the claim that the Minoans and Mycenaeans descended primarily from the first Neolithic farmers of the Aegean and that modern Greeks show substantial genetic continuity with the Mycenaeans. However, this is not a new scientific discovery. Most of these articles are simply recycling the findings of the landmark study “Genetic Origins of the Minoans and Mycenaeans,” published in the journal Nature in 2017 by Iosif Lazaridis and his colleagues. That study marked a turning point in archaeogenetics because it was the first to analyze ancient DNA from both Minoan and Mycenaean individuals. It demonstrated that the two civilizations were genetically very closely related and that the majority of their ancestry derived from the first Neolithic farming populations of the Aegean and western Anatolia. It also showed that the Mycenaeans possessed an additional, relatively small genetic component associated with populations from the Eurasian Steppe. Furthermore, the study concluded that modern Greeks remain genetically very similar to the Mycenaeans, despite the admixture events that occurred over the following three millennia. Since then, several newer archaeogenetic studies have been published using larger sample sizes and more advanced analytical methods. None of these studies overturned the conclusions of the 2017 paper. On the contrary, they have reinforced and refined its findings, providing a more detailed understanding of regional population structure, migration patterns, and demographic changes during the Bronze Age. Therefore, when media outlets present these well-established conclusions as a “new study,” it is worth remembering that they are, in fact, revisiting one of the most influential archaeogenetic papers of the past decade—not reporting a newly published scientific breakthrough. © Greece High Definition #archaeohistories
