THE HALLMARKED MAN is by far the worst of all the books. The mystery was absolutely IMPOSSIBLE to follow and in the end, I almost didn't care who did it. As for Robin and Strike, I'M ANGRY and feel my time is wasted AGAIN.

@robertvlach We can't have read the same book. The mystery was absolutely convoluted and impossible to follow and the romance has become so tried by BOOK 8 I almost don't even want them together.

The Hallmarked Man is the best novel I’ve read this year, so profound and thrilling that I just could not put it down. It’s also among the series’ finest, along with Troubled Blood and The Running Grave. The way it ended, I assume the next part will be one of the most anticipated books of the decade — definitely for me! Aside from the crime investigations and the romance, I love how Strike and Robin’s small business has evolved over the years. Bloody well done, @jk_rowling 💘
