@LaGrecca333 So everyone thought the USA was full of terrible but addictive junk food...massive stores, with huge chemical filled food to help it last longer......and what they found out was........

Someone should really make a documentary about this World Cup and how it’s changed perceptions of what people were told America is vs what it actually is. I think it would be incredibly fascinating and wildly entertaining.

@teddycovers42 @nonregemesse NY Pizza is trash, absolute trash. Junk food, with cheap / poor ingredients, peddled to poised taste buds of whom have never left the country.

The World Cup is just the best. Having it in the US has just taken it up a notch. Not because of the kickoff times (though... pretty sweet), but because of all the incredible people who are coming into the US and just having an unbelievable time experiencing what we find normal.

One of the best Videos, We have no understanding of how Good We Have it! Europeans can’t even understand what a Buffet means. They come here and find out you can fill your plate several times and they go into shock. I can’t imagine complaining about how Good We Have it!

@glennbeck Yes, we also see the same all year round from Americans leaving the USA. What you are seeing...is Tourist doing tourist things, and enjoying a Vacation / Holiday. Its like you are experiencing travel for the first time.

I can't get enough of these videos of Europeans coming to America and finding out how AWESOME it is here. Americans, take note! We really do live in the BEST country in the world. Don't listen to the media. Listen to everyone coming here for the World Cup, and the tourists and immigrants who came before them who have learned how blessed we are to live in the Land of the Free.

I've traveled the world, and I'll say it plainly that there's no place like the United States. We're not perfect, far from it, but we are blessed to call this country home. Right now, that's playing out in real time. The 2026 World Cup has brought over a million international visitors to our shores, and the internet is full of foreign fans falling in love with the everyday things we take for granted. A German fan has gone viral documenting his American road trip, from Waffle House to Buc-ee's to college football and Southern hospitality. Fans from Sweden, the UK, and beyond can't get enough of things like 7-Eleven Big Gulps and ranch dressing ...stuff most of us never think twice about. One tourist put it perfectly, people are amused watching her experience America and seeing how big she thinks little things are, because if you live here, you get used to it but for someone visiting, it's genuinely special. And that's the point, isn't it? Sometimes it takes an outsider's eyes to remind us what we have such as wide-open highways, small-town hospitality, the sheer scale and variety of this country, the freedom to come from anywhere and build a life. It's become trendy to dismiss America as lacking culture, but there's beauty in every direction here. We've got our problems. Every country does. But watching the world show up on our doorstep and fall in love with the ordinary parts of American life is a good reminder that we're blessed to live here, faults and all. 🦅

Only Americans can see with own eyes what European, African and Asian fans are bringing over for the World Cup.....and think its The USA that's making it great. I should be surprised, but its exactly what I expected.

@DrSuneelDhand They are confused...Euros / Brits being amazed...is not the same as being Impressed. Its more a reaction that all what they heard and seen on films is true. Its like watching a serial killer TV show....we soak those up...doesn't mean anyone is impressed, just amazed.

I love America, but I hate to burst your bubble: if you are on Twitter, and you are getting posts about how Europeans visiting for the World Cup are completely in awe of American food and grocery stores— I have to be honest with you and tell you you are being fed complete nonsense by the algorithm. I’ve traveled to almost every European country, and there isn’t a single one which doesn’t have better grocery stores and higher-quality restaurant food than the USA. Just being honest, as a doctor should

@DrSuneelDhand I don’t think they’re claiming that our grocery stores have better food. In all the videos I saw, they were impressed by the size, amount of options etc. In all the restaurant vids that I saw, they were eating Texas BBQ for the first time and loving it.

Europeans traveling to America for the World Cup are figuring out our college stadiums are larger and nicer than Europe's best stadiums America might suck in some aspects but one thing is for sure... The USA knows how to build big ass stadiums and put on a show

The idea American sports don't prioritize winning and don't punish losing is something people only people entirely uninvolved in American sports could agree with. If anything, the stereotype of Americans is that we are overcompetitive to the point of it being counterproductive.
USMNT Only@usmntonly

Mauricio Pochettino said that ‘American sports reward losers’ when asked about the style of play in top European nations vs. in the U.S. 😯🇺🇸 QUESTION: “We know how England, France, Spain play… Players from countries with a strong tradition have a recognizable style. What is the style of the US team? What kind of football do the Americans want to play?” ANSWER: “Their culture is playful. They want to play. We told them, “Guys, playing soccer is one thing, competing is another.” They’re two completely different sports. They grow up in a culture of playing. Why? If you start in MLS and you haven’t won a game in three months and you’re at the bottom, what’s the consequence if there’s no promotion or relegation, no international competition? American sports reward losers! But soccer is different: if you reward those who don’t win… If you don’t have goals, you don’t fight. If I lose, what happens? Nothing. They just fire the coach. Also, the American player is disciplined. But with a sense of complacency that isn’t good in soccer. It took us a year and a half to change that mentality.” [EL PAIS]

One of the most incredible aspects of the World Cup in the United States is what we DIDN’T have to do to prepare for it. Qatar built multiple brand new stadiums, a metro system, roads, hotels, and entire districts. South Africa built new stadiums, parking, etc. Brazil spent billions on stadium and transit projects. Russia built and rebuilt venues across the country. Meanwhile, the U.S. was like: “We’re good.” Like, we modified the playing surface in some stadiums and that was it. The sport venue infrastructure in the US mogs every other country on earth and it’s not even close.

Europeans were basically propogandized by corrupt EU regulations to believe these things about US food. They think an extra tablespoon of sugar makes bread cake bc the EU says so or only Germany has real beer bc they were only allowed to call 1 specific thing beer until recently
