キリスト教に改宗したくてもさ、なんか色々どの宗派も小競り合いするじゃん? もうさ、聖書と讃美歌と詩が生活にあればいいかなって感じになるのよ。 争うために神を信仰しているわけじゃないからさ。

@CSKC88 @NormanBrennan Hurty words are not a sanction for a preemptive strike. That’s the law. That’s at least 4 feet to travel, towards someone with his hands down. May have made him feel better if a derogatory word was used, but if cops were there & he was taken down/arrested? That’s reasonable!

@HALALK0 Pork, unclean. That’s it. No it’s not about Old Testament or whatever. God made it very clear “it is unclean to you”. God defined holiness. Remember even coals were at sometime named “holy”.

Not at all. Genesis 6 v 5 & 11 makes it clear as does most of the book. Men follow their hearts and continue to fulfil selfish or hurtful desires. To stand up and be in opposition to this behaviour is the narrower path. Everyone has been and is to be given the opportunity to acknowledge the existence the Messiah brings and live that life. It is a simple case of rejection OR acceptance AND with that, comes a reward. Rev 21 v 1-8&22-27

If he is risen then where is he? 🤔 Doesn’t this ritual get boring every year, saying the same old stuff with no evidence? Look around the world; too much evil and destruction for there to be any basis for faith.

I’m sorry, genuinely asking but i thought Jesus died on a Friday afternoon. Going by that and the fact that he resurrected 3 days after, aren’t we meant to be celebrating Easter on Monday and not Sunday?

@ShadowofEzra There’s a trend in the Torah peaked in the Gospels. Very much like the Judas relationship. Walk with God, have no personal relationship with God, deny God, betray God.

Rabbi Shmuley is demanding on Easter that all Christians accept that it was the Romans, not the Jews, who murdered Jesus. Shmuley says the New Testament is clear: the Romans murdered Jesus, not the Jews, and this must be accepted as fact. What's your message to Rabbi Shmuley?

@TiffaniMarie483 1) Ask her what her concerns are? 2) pray about it and seek direction/intervention from the Holy Spirit. For you and her, a reminder to look at the Messiah model. Perfection only comes from God, not the flawed characters who present themselves as Christian.

My boomer, liberal, atheist, MIL lives with us now. I actually love her very much. She’s been having anxiety about death lately and I so badly want to share the gospel with her, but she’s so anti-Christian that it just makes her mad. What’s my move here?

My wife was formerly promiscuous. I was a virgin. She was then radically born-again. Committed to church, evangelized constantly, Puritan books in her bedroom, prayer journals, grief over past sexual sin, etc. We got to know each other well for over a year, dated for four months, engaged for two and a half, and didn't sin sexually with one another. Our first kiss with each other was at the altar on our wedding day (reaction pic attached!). We've been married for over five years now, and she's been the most wonderful and godly wife, mother to our three children, and homemaker you could imagine. She's more pure than most virgins, as biblical purity has less to with past sins (though they certainly matter) and more to do with one's current posture of the heart and daily decisions to honor the Lord (Matt. 5:8). We're far too quick to forget the story of the woman labeled as a known "sinner" (likely a prostitute) in Luke 7:36-50 who was washing Jesus' feet with her tears while kissing them too. The Pharisees were shocked that Jesus let a public sinner do this. Jesus responded with a parable about debts being forgiven and ended with this powerful conclusion: "Her many sins have been forgiven; that’s why she loved much. But the one who is forgiven little, loves little" (Luke 7:47). Everyone seems to highlight the benefits of virginity, and it certainly is a blessing. But we forget to highlight the benefits of being forgiven much as well. My wife knows the depths of Jesus' forgiveness more than most people, enabling her to more easily live out a life of passionate love for her Savior. A woman or man's past sexual sin matters. But what matters far more when it comes to deciding who to marry is if the person is truly born again, if their repentance is real, if they truly have a heart for Christ, if they truly follow Jesus and obey his commands. "God has chosen what is foolish in the world to shame the wise, and God has chosen what is weak in the world to shame the strong. God has chosen what is insignificant and despised in the world — what is viewed as nothing — to bring to nothing what is viewed as something, so that no one may boast in his presence. It is from him that you are in Christ Jesus, who became wisdom from God for us — our righteousness, sanctification, and redemption, — in order that, as it is written: 'Let the one who boasts, boast in the Lord.'" (1 Cor. 1:27-31) "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has passed away, and see, the new has come!" (2 Cor. 5:17)

If someone argues that a former promiscuous woman is "damaged goods" and questions whether a Christian young man should marry her, remember Rahab. She was a Canaanite prostitute but became a mother in the lineage of Jesus. God redeemed her, cleansed her, and Salmon married her.

One of those “this can’t be real” moments. Some guy perched himself smack on the hood of a car, refusing to budge, trapping the poor driver at an intersection. Before anyone even had time to dial the police, some random SUV driver had *had enough.* This guy storms out, grabs the hood-sitter, and hurls him onto the pavement like a wrestler clearing the ring. So, here’s the question: if someone’s acting like a traffic troll, do bystanders get a pass for going full vigilante to solve the problem, or did that guy just leap wayyyy over the line?

The laws of God were before earth, established on earth, reflected while on earth. Will be in and on the new heaven and earth. He does not change. The starting point for us begins and ends with this and the Way of God. So if he calls the day holy, the coal holy and reminded the “best” of the fallen how to live… then we need to examine what the new covenant really is… a redundancy of those things that have been surpassed by Messiahs sacrifice… not those things that reflect relate to God.

People love to quote Romans 14 as if it says you can ignore God's Sabbath day or pick your own, but it doesn't say anything at all about the Sabbath or any of God's other appointed times. The whole chapter is about matters of conscience related to *food and drink*, not about God's commandments.
