@fool2theworld Otherwise what is the point of something being "binding" if you can just disagree with it? These are the things that kept me from other churches. Orthodoxy is the unbroken lineage faith and inerrent pillar of truth. If it is not those things then there is no church.

@fool2theworld Can't say I agree, the things he says do not go against the things I have been taught by my priest. But I have seen many who claim to be Orthodox yet still carry ideas that are not of it. The church is not something you are free to interpret endlessly, we aren't Protestants.

@BasedDavePA What pushed me from going back to RC as I was raised with it was when I found out what their church thought of Muslims and the Jews. Saying we worship the same God as the Muslims or that the Jews still have their old covenant. To me that's a clear sign of corruption.

The reason why I'm at a crossroad with choosing between Catholicism and Orthodoxy comes down to this: Which side has the better historical connection to the Church Jesus founded in 33 AD? Which side is objectively closer to the early followers of Christ and what they believed.

So in order for theistic evolution to be correct, Jesus would've had to assume something that isn't fully human nature but at the same time is fully human.
