Mixed emotions this morning after a poor night’s sleep due to an overactive mind. It’s a strange feeling being nominated for this award, as it stirs many conflicting emotions in me. That said, as I write this, I feel deeply honoured that so many of you nominated me. Whatever the outcome, it is both my duty and my privilege to attend and represent the work I’ve been doing in the Food & Farming world. What’s particularly ironic about these awards is that the person who had a huge influence on my decision to take this life path—Mr. Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall—is hosting the event. Life’s a funny old game; the longer I’m in it, the more I realise how beautiful it can be. Whatever happens tomorrow, I’m so thrilled to be part of the show and to have the chance to shine a spotlight on my work in Carmarthen, bringing it further into the heart of the BBC!
