2/ The former is perfectly sensible, but would have a negligible impact on bills. The latter would mean households paying *higher* transmission charges. Someone has to pay for the grid - it doesn’t build and maintain itself.

1/ John Swinney panders to the widely believed fallacy that independence would transfer the energy sector into public ownership. It would not. The SNP wants *lower* taxes on oil & gas companies. And it wants the owners of wind farms to pay *lower* transmission charges.

Angus Robertson’s election campaign has been a torrent of lies, and this one is a whopper. The SNP will not *give* £10k to first-time buyers. It plans to chip in £10k as a co-owner. When the property is sold, Scot Gov would get back its £10k, +/- its share of any change in value.
