@zoasterino @theKoalaKoa The enclosure wasn't promised when I bought it, but I found out about the power connector while I was waiting, and I might have cancelled my order but being told that it would ship with the protective enclosure was a major reassurance, and made me feel confident in my purchase.

Ok, I'm done. Another fucking gcomp broken. Waiting nine months, and this is what happens when you plug it in and push it into the cabinet. I can not recommend gcomp or gscart products because of this power plug design flaw. I get it. The maker is a nice person and friends with multiple people and crazy smarter than me. but this is not $300 worth of quality. I shouldn't have to buy a 3d printed bumper to save a $300 item from itself. @StoneAgeGamer

@MichaelToole I tracked down the guy responsible for the sub recently, because one of my counterparts wants to reexperience it. The guy still has the master SVHS. I tried to see if I could get a copy, but a combination of lack of hardware and my being an internet rando resulted in a dead end.

with End of Evangelion returning to theaters, very important to bump the classic stories. I first saw End of Evangelion at Otakon 1998. It was a rush-job fansub of a camcordered recording. Just barely watchable! Like half of the con was in the room to watch it.

@Zap629 The jump from standard def to HD was definitely a big step, but going from the graphic capabilities of the PS1 to the PS2 felt monumental at the time. There will never be a point in time that "next gen" doesn't immediately bring the PS2 launch hype to mind.

Absolutely not. The PS2 era was the peak (and denouement) of creative mainstream game design and nothing has really changed from then. Everything since has been derivative but prettier.

@David_Jaffer Number of Armored Core games released since 1997: 16. Number of Armored Core games you can legally purchase firsthand, benefiting the publishers/developers: 2... sort of. Aside from Armored Core VI, the only other game you can buy is Verdict Day, but only digitally for Xbox 360.
