@TheSocialGamer The opening is larger than the grip so it would be no harsher than setting it on a table or other surface. PLA is harder than ABS, but not significantly so plastic on plastic wear would be really difficult and take some effort.

@collingall Will the plastic start scratching the grips base after repeated sitting? It needs some kind of soft felt or rubber in there. Plastic on plastic sounds crunchy. 😬

@NanadaMaroon With how easy it is to remove and replace it doesn't seem necessary. I think a better addition would be rubber feet to keep it from sliding.

@collingall Looks great! Do you plan on adding weights so that the dock will stand sturdy on the desk?

@m1ghtyboy Not really, it's fairly strong but any tilt off axis and it just fully lets go.

@collingall Is the built in magnet strong enough to hold it horizontally? I'd love to mount it on the side of my desk

@AlexiaA_84 I was thinking something like this would make the most sense and probably wouldn't need the mount changed to fit like a 180 adapter would.

@collingall Looks great! If I could add a suggestion that would to use an angled USB-C adapter, so that the cable doesn't doesn't stick out on top, but runs flush against the base. Or an angled USB cable.

@King_INF3RN0 If you tilt it forward slightly the magnet releases and you can pick it straight up, I didn't see a need for extra weight.

@collingall How is it taking it off the stand quickly without yanking the stand? Considering mounting it or weighing it down

@liskesh Hopefully they support an internal connection, then you can plug the puck into a simple USB charger rather than tie up a USB port on the system.

@collingall Very nice. Thanks for sharing the file. I’m wondering once the Steam Machine comes out would it use the pucks wireless connection or the internal Steam machine connection? I guess we’ll find out.

@bcomnes I have 5-6 oranges on hand I will see if any look close, I unfortunately don't have one to compare to though

@collingall How does it look with a right angle plug?

I honestly didn't need them, tilting the controller forward releases it, using about 25% infill made it more than heavy enough to keep it in place when you move it around. I will probably make a version for the printables page that has a slot in the bottom for cheap wheel weights.

@comingconflict Easy enough to add an open slot under for some wheel weights

@collingall I wish everyone who designed these types of stands would realize how tipsy they are. Totally impractical for a controller you often use. They are fine for display but that’s it. A stand needs a weighted base (which is doable with this design )
