This is exactly why Oregonians are fed up with the Portland media bubble. Back in 2010, Chris Dudley LED on Election Night against career politician John Kitzhaber. He was ahead most of the night as a first-time candidate pushing for real change on the economy, jobs, and government reform. Then the late ballots from Multnomah County poured in. Kitzhaber surged ahead and “won” by just 22,238 votes out of over 1.45 million cast, razor-thin 1.53% margin. Dudley carried 29 of Oregon’s 36 counties. Portland’s massive late dump decided the race. Sound familiar? Oregon’s all-mail ballot system has always had these timing issues and transparency questions, especially when the bulk of outstanding ballots come from one deep-blue county days after Election Night. Now in 2026, the Trump administration is challenging vote-by-mail practices nationwide over legitimate concerns about fraud, eligibility verification, chain of custody, and the Postal Service being used as an election gatekeeper. And what does KOIN and the Oregon media do? Frame it as some kind of attack instead of acknowledging the vulnerabilities. Oregon pioneered universal mail-in voting in 1998. That’s a long time for any system to operate without serious scrutiny. When Dudley nearly pulled off the upset 16 years ago, it exposed how a few urban precincts and late-counted ballots can override the rest of the state. This May 19 primary is the perfect time to send a message. Support Chris Dudley for Governor the proven outsider who almost beat the machine once before. He’s the candidate with business experience, name recognition across Oregon, and the backbone to demand real election integrity and accountability in Salem. No more letting Multnomah County decide everything after the fact. Secure, transparent elections shouldn’t be controversial. Oregon deserves better than recycled politicians and media that dismiss concerns as “conspiracy theories” until the feds step in. Vote Dudley on May 19. Let’s finish what we started in 2010. @Dudley4Oregon dudley4oregon.com/?gad_source=1&…
