If you're wondering about the state of the industry (to non-industry folks): - 3 of the roles I was turned down for in the final 2 have been laid off within 2-7 months of the person chosen being hired. - 2 studios that blacklisted me for speaking out have now shut down. All in the last 6 months. "Get another job" is not that simple, fam. "Go work at McDonalds" - you know, I did apply just because so many folks told me to do it just to see what would happen and "you're overqualified". So maybe, stop using that as a way to shut folks down from speaking up during a very scary time for so many.
