#Satellite data for #forestry is useful when coupled with knowledge on the ground e.g. #tree height, MAI, species, density and maturity, vegetation, soil quality, fire damage, encroachment. With deciduous stands, leaf flush, leaf tinting and leaf fall are also important factors.

As it's #EarthDay, we wanted to give a shout out to one of clients doing some amazing things for the planet. @theforestfund's goal is to end the destruction of old growth forests by promoting profitable, low barrier to entry reforestation projects that scale up really big.
