@SSeasonally I feel like every instance of these freezes that I've seen always happen when people press the look behind button right as they cross the finish line. I wonder if it's possible to consistently freeze the game like this if timed right

@nocontextmemes @KjeldvanKeulen Still hearing "hell yeah" with your voice in my head

@ween1e_hut_jr @l0ltad @dingbatdec I don't see how this is Robtop's problem. Clearly the icon hack has changed something in the save file, otherwise this wouldn't be happening. The "it is temporary" argument doesn't really hold. This is the risk you are running when using 3rd party tools
English

@l0ltad @dingbatdec Again I dont care to hold him to some extreme standard I just think he shouldnt be making it everybody elses problem. The icon hack is temporary and disables itself when you turn it off. You do not save the icons. So why should I lose progress and why does he get to laugh
English

>player uses hack that temporarily gives them icons for free, one game session at a time
>icons go away after turning the hack off
>does not cost any orbs
>New Update: orbs disappear anyway without keeping the icons
"Unfathomably based"

bro rob is so unbelievably real for saying this

@reptarien @Trackmania No. With this system, the existing blocks will act differently depending on if they were placed before or after november 21st. I'm saying that the existing blocks should keep their old behaviour regardless of what date they were placed.
English

@TheForgottenIce @Trackmania That's what this system is going to do, so yeah.
English

From January 9th, with the Winter update, the wood surface will be updated with the following:
➡️ Tracks created before November 21st will have the old concrete wood gameplay.
➡️ Tracks created after November 21st will have the new wood gameplay with grip.
Please note that if you edit a track created before November 21st:
➡️ Until the update on January 9th, it will have the new wood gameplay with grip.
➡️ After the update on January 9th, it will have the old concrete wood gameplay.
All unbeatable records made on tracks since November 21st will be handled after the January 9th update.
English

@reptarien @Trackmania I think it would be better to just keep both wood surfaces instead of only using one or the other. So existing blocks behave as they always have and the new blocks can use the new surface
English

@TheForgottenIce @Trackmania Because changing old maps to use new physics fucking sucks and either makes old world records way too easy or actually impossible and almost never something in-between. It's the only way to keep old maps relevant while still retaining the changes for new ones.
English

@Roeder2033 @Trackmania That they didn't change the behaviour of an existing block in the first place
