I’ve known of Dimension 20 and Critical Role for maybe the last 5 years or so but I couldn’t tell you anything about them. Just that people I admire and love enjoy them. One of the most incredible parts of doing a live TTRPG was how attached people got to our characters.

I’ve never watched any live TTRPGs before and I’ve been playing since I was 8. Gary Gygax stayed on my dad’s couch. My fondest childhood memory is a DnD game that, after the boss battle, it was revealed our characters were suspended in virtual reality & we swapped to Rifts.

I’m not super familiar with Brennan Lee Mulligan but he has my absolute respect for educating people on civil infrastructure using his tabletop game campaigns. This is real leftist activism btw! Infusing your platform with historical education and resources for greater impact.
