@theferryinnskye @Tripadvisor Absolutely ridiculous. We also own a small restaurant and these stupid ‘nonsense reviews’ can kill a small business. How on earth can she review something she hasn’t even tried? Why do @Tripadvisor allow it? There’s absolutely no filter with them.

Is this what it’s come to @Tripadvisor? What a dangerous precedent you’re setting for small hospitality businesses - an absolute hissy fit ‘review’ because she couldn’t book a table at our fully booked restaurant and this is deemed a valid ‘experience’ by yourselves?

A thread on lost taxes & the risk of losing the hospitality industry to the economy: Over the last three quarters there have been record closures of pubs & restaurants in the UK. Some statistics state around 2 pubs & 3 restaurants every day! You've probably seen 1 today!

Why do people expect restaurants to just give food away? And I mean at any point, never mind in the current economic climate…. If you order something that is or isn’t on the menu (as is the case here) it’s chargeable, I don’t think that’s unreasonable 🤷🏻‍♂️
