Farshi Gharara, a traditional attire of Indian Muslim women, was designed by Muslim darzees (tailors) of Lucknow durbar (🇮🇳), around 1780–1830. This was specifically designed as a cultural response to the English Victorian gown.


The Persian language and architecture indeed left a lasting global mark, esp in Islam The dome shaped roofs we see in mosques worldwide came frm the Sassanian/Persian empire 🕌 Before this Nusantaran mosques bear the Hindu-Buddhism’s Mount. Sumeru-inspired Tajug/Meru roofs ⛰️
