the biggest lie in local business is that you need to be the cheapest to win I talk to dozens of business owners every week. the ones charging premium prices are booked out for months. the ones competing on price are drowning in tire kickers who waste their time and leave 3 star reviews. here is what nobody tells you about pricing. when you charge more, you attract better clients. these people have money, they respect your time, they don't nickel and dime you on every invoice, and they actually follow through on the project. when you charge less, you attract the opposite. people who expect champagne service on a beer budget. they call you 14 times a day, dispute every charge, and leave a bad review anyway. I had a client who doubled his prices overnight. he lost 30% of his leads. but his revenue went up 40% and his stress went down by half. he works fewer hours now than he did before the price increase. low prices don't build a sustainable business. they build a trap.

Just had my most viral podcast clip! It took me 2 minutes to make… Yet got 57k views on TikTok and 28k on YouTube. Why did this one go viral? Because Bryan Eisenberg said something controversial. On my podcast, @TheGrok explained how an HVAC company would use red screws instead of normal ones. And this showed they touched every screw. I saw it as a genius marketing play, but some of the people in the TikTok comments were FURIOUS. “Just use normal screws.” “Are you going to replace good screws?” “You care more about marketing optics than design??” But that’s what made it go semi-viral. Here’s my overall lesson: You have spark controversy and illicit emotion. Decisively pick one side, then watch the super fans and super haters have a field day in the comments. Enjoy!
