It is almost (almost) comical to see the desperation to hold support for #BTC to prevent it from becoming a falling knife. How come none of the 100K maxis warned anyone of a potential 30K? The TA narrative for this market is practically worthless. Call the top but not a bottom.

The thing I can't stand about BTC maxis is they are so dishonest about it in its CURRENT state. If its an wealth creation tool...Its the worst performer in top 25 crypto. If its a wealth preservation tool.its APY compared to risk/performance after 1 tril MI is terrible as well.

@Mohamad_Shaikho @ZssBecker You would be surprised how much BTC is owned by institutional investors at this point. However, when true believers see that it's dominated by the institutions, perhaps we will finally get a decoupling of from BTC, and the market can flourish from the multitude of ecosystems.

@TheHashologist @ZssBecker Crypto is a very dangerous place, not everyone believes in it. I honestly don’t trust in people’s belief. They tend to bailout at hard times. If next month US/Europe ban crypto. I’m sure 99.99% of BTC “maxis” who bought super low will dump immediately.

@SportsMedZ @Do82Nic Well, L1's like Solona are more centralized. Hell, a lot are in terms of the whale ownership, if you get down to it. I think we will see more DAO's this year, as well as some more truly decentralized projects coming in Q4 of 22.

@TheHashologist @Do82Nic I hope these other ecosystems flourish. But they are more similar to companies and organizations than they are money. I don’t feel they are in the same market. Time will tell

As a Leftist Bitcoiner, it's hard to reconcile the hate speech within the Bitcoin community, with my goal to diversify the space. I view the extreme bigotry on Bitcoin Twitter as a major barrier to adoption. I call on all Bitcoiners to please Call Out Bigotry when you see it!

@RobertW7676 @CardanoApps I understand node architecture and infrastructure. Not sure what you mean by not big enough. If you are getting anything, you should be verifying it's on the network and running the latest version on the mainnet, not the testnet.

@TheHashologist @CardanoApps You can invest 10k into a pledge, start a node and you will never make a penny. You'll never be selected for a block because you're not "big enough". That seem fair to you? A terrible system that you obviously don't understand yourself.

@RobertW7676 @CardanoApps I haven't seen this happen before so I can't speak to it. If true, then of course. I find it hard to believe that as a validator node you don't earn any rewards. I would check to make sure you have the latest version downloaded, as obvious as that sounds.

@TheHashologist @CardanoApps You're confused. I'm all for advancing the technology, but investing 10k into spinning up a node that benefits the entire ecosystem but rewards you with a 0% return is unacceptable.

@SportsMedZ @Do82Nic Agreed. You should be buying the technology, not the token. 90% are doing it backwards. And if maxi's wish to miss out on massive returns buy strictly buy BTC, then that's their loss. Funny how all these other ecosystems are running on alleged shitcoins. Hmmm? How's that work?

@TheHashologist @Do82Nic I hear your point and it can be true. Many of my friends and family are entering crypto, I’m supportive of their journey, although not always in agreement. Education should be achieved without gaslighting and ignorance. Discussion should be more inclusive/empathetic.

@Mohamad_Shaikho @ZssBecker No. Not every project gives the impression of that. It's a game of holding assets you think will appreciate, without taking profits. Yes, I said that. Without, taking profits. I still hold XRP and ADA that I bought almost 4 years ago, because I knew they would. Research & vision

@Mohamad_Shaikho @ZssBecker The difference between the wealthy and the poor, is the wealthy take time to learn these things, then employ a strategy either using them, or against them. I was merely pointing out your numbers were incorrect. Not a good showing for one who investing in crypto. That's all.

@TheHashologist @ZssBecker Besides, I alrdy mentioned I hold ZERO #BTC if you can read, but not everyone has the time or the effort to research projects that are undervalued.

@dannycoulombe @CardanoApps So, you learned Solidity, but Plutus and Haskell is a problem? Just think about that for a second. Have you wrote Python? Is that challenging? I've been studying and in the industry for 4 years now. Cardano, from I've read of the papers, is some of the most sound script period.

@motomushi @CardanoApps This is old investment advice. Where are getting this strategy from, your grandparents? I worked in the financial services sector of the banking industry. I understand very well it's about the bank and not the customer. Don't be a fool to believe their marketing. Stablecoin yield

@TheHashologist @CardanoApps Compound interest bearing retirement account pays whatever interest is offered to borrow your money and there are a few alternative options in the real world that offer excellent inflation beating returns. Chase the wind if you like. I won't try to convince you otherwise. Happy?

@RobertW7676 @CardanoApps Apparently, you are confused about what a decentralized blockchain is. You probably are unclear about the trilema and picking which ends will get the more attention to sacrifice the other. Sounds to me like this is all about the $$$, not about the advancement of the technology.

@TheHashologist @CardanoApps Yea? Try running a master node with a modest 10k investment and then come back and tell me this is not a centralized crypto.

@RobertW7676 @CardanoApps There is no rug pull here. That's by far the most ignorant and asinine statement behind vaporware. You don't understand the infrastructure, I get it. And, the price jump you want to make $1000 isn't quick enough, I get it. Never invest in a vehicle you do not understand.

@TheHashologist @CardanoApps Don't tell me to do some real research. I was part of the ecosystem. It only rewards big players. Fat cats. The rest of you get a measly 5% while they get richer before they pull the rug. Watch and see.

@CryptoJimmy2009 @dannycoulombe @CardanoApps Love that analysis. I had a Blackberry for 6 years. Of course, I don't have one anymore. I think ETH remains a player, but before all ongoing issues are fixed, devs will be using other L1 chains. Speed and cost drives more adoption, which is where ETH is losing the battle.

@thecryptomonk21 @CardanoApps Put down the pipe. This assessment could not be further from the truth. You will see many projects leaving ETH before they implement PoS. Numerous other ecosystems are gaining traction for projects over ETH. Developers oppose the migration because they want gas fees.
