@aparanjape @irbishi @KP24 @RaunakRK is doing a decent job. I think commentators like Murli Karthik, Deep Das, Raman, Anjum and even the great mr Gavaskar should retire now giving opportunities to youngsters. if @BCCI or broadcasters audition a few, we will find some talented ones in India.

Except for a few veterans (and they are aging as well), most Indian English cricket commentators are average at best. And some are really bad. And worse, they don't seem to prepare well at all. The difference is stark when you compare them with @irbishi, Simon Doull, @KP24 (and @nassercricket and co, who are not here for this @IPL). We need to look at more 'non-players' desi commentators as well (like @bhogleharsha). Don't understand why all commentators have to be former intl players? Many sports around the world have a combination in the commentary box (former greats of the game and non-players, who are good at general commentary. Expert opinions can always come from the greats).

@MalhotraSaurabh Unlucky today, ball held a bit of Arshdeep’s leg cutter.. concern for sure though. Having said that, it’s not fair to select/unselect purely on IPL form. Last year he was in phenomenal IPL form but couldn’t score a run for India, same could happen with other players also.

Will be quite ruthless to drop your World Cup-winning captain straight up after the tournament, but Surya is doing all he can for the axe to fall on him. Shreyas and Patidar aren't making it any easier for him either.

Virat's IPL game has completely changed in the last 3 years, and the numbers are there for everyone to see yet Harsha is always shocked on air when Kohli scores a boundary in the 1st or 2nd ball. Remember him appreciating VK for chasing a 180+ total but also saying how he will bat in a 200+ chase? Simon isn't even a Kohli fan and says things bluntly as it is had to defend this shit the moment Harsha gave this Marlon Samuels example here. It was just one bad game and VK wasn't 100% fit, yet he is again starting his glue narrative. This isn't just one instance. I'm not sure how many of you noticed but He does this subtly on air too, but will not question or talk about so many other Indian players who are not performing for multiple years in their IPL franchise.
