All Munster hurling venues should be 18-20,000 capacity at least. Walsh park, lovely as the new upgrades are so far, is still an embarrassment for one of the “big 5 cities” in Ireland. Seeing die hard supporters who go to all the games begging for tickets on FB is sad to see..

@ThomasKeane1973 Literally every county in Munster bar Waterford has an 18,000 capacity stadium, at least. We are supposedly the “5th City” in the Republic. A fucking embarrassing state of affairs. County board should be ashamed of themselves.

@TheHurlingSnob A 20,000 capacity stadium for most counties is a waste of time. A county final between 2 city clubs will attract about 2,000 people at most. Often double that when a west Waterford club are involved at Fraher Field.

@TheHurlingSnob Die hard? Why not get a season ticket , and i travelled up to ennis with my kid, north terrace ticket , she found it hard to see any action, today she has a seat in walsh park for the same price, it aint all about packing them in.
