3 male ranchers (the county commission) yelled at residents & left the meeting, finishing it via streaming. There was no real research regarding the environmental impact of the data center. The commission wasn’t interested in what residents had to say & it democracy is failing

The largest data center in the world was just approved in Utah. The county commission voted for the data center despite massive resistance from residents and one commissioner mocked residents: “For hell’s sake, grow up.” The people responded by chanting: “PEOPLE OVER PROFITS!”

Apparently people getting married on week days is an unbelievable event to people.
My daughter is getting married on a Thursday because the venue was 8k cheaper than the day right after.

Kevin O'Leary's massive data center was approved by a county commission in Utah last night.
At 40,000 acres, it would be 2.5x the size of Manhattan.
The commission approved the proposal despite opposition from hundreds of locals.

* Bingham -- Rancher, beef cattle and produces wheat, corn, alfalfa hay, and triticale (wheat and rye hybrid grin)
* Perry - Ex UHP and Former member of the Utah Legislature
* VIncent - the only member who has supported pausing the fast track of this project.

I’m anti-cruise ships in general, but the last time I was on one for a family vacation, I found one of those soft serve machines out in the open on deck. I was just crushing those cones while staring out at the open ocean and it may be one of the few times I’ve known peace
