Coyote Gulch in Grand Staircase Escalante NM is one of the casualties in the Utah GOP’s Trump Sponsored land grab. Let the extraction & sell off of our public lands begin. Everyone who thinks this is a good thing, wait until your OHV trails are riddled with No Tresspassing signs!

Here is the truth: Core canyon areas like Coyote Gulch remain protected inside the new Canyons of the Escalante Unit, the heart of the reduced monument. The ~1.7 million acres removed are mostly surrounding plateaus and non-core lands. Those lands stay federal but lose monument protections and open to new mining and leasing in 60 days. The X post claim that Coyote Gulch is a casualty is incorrect.

@Vikingvictims Amen! I used to live in PC & have watched it being overdeveloped. We are watching as they try to build a new gravel pit in Parleys. Instead of continuing to use the icky gravel pit, another developer wants to compete & build another gravel pit, destroying beautiful landscape.
