@SecretCoAuthor Man musste vorher gar nichts außer "so weit wie möglich rechts" zu fahren - was eigene Sicherheitsabstände mit beinhaltet. Ein "Schmutz"-Streifen hat keine Benutzungspflicht - wenn er ausreichend breit is, schön, er definiert aber keinen Fahrstreifen im algemeinen Sinne.

Heute noch mal schön zu sehen, wie der Schutzstreifen vom Fahrbahnrand abgerückt und mit einem Sicherheitstrennstreifen zu parkenden Autos versehen wurde. Vorher musste man wirklich rechts der noch dunkel zu erkennenden gestrichelten Linie fahren.

@1980Aktuell Krass. Ein Fahrzeug dass so schnell fahren kann und dann so eine winzige Lenkerbreite. Wer denkt sich denn beim Bau dieser Absurdität "Jau, dat is schon okay so"?

It is perfectly legal here for a "Verbund" to cross an intersection even if the traffic light switched from green to red after the first vehicle in the "Verbund" crossed the intersection already.

@Stipe @Tesla_Tizzler @SawyerMerritt If it would have been a full approval by the RDW then there would have been more pressure on the EU members right away. Now it has to go through an additional vote in the EU to put pressure on the EU members.

@Stipe @Tesla_Tizzler @SawyerMerritt That's not how this works. Right now the RDW gave a provisional approval of FSD Supervised. This means it is only valid in the Netherlands for finite period and then must be reevaluated to extend and possibly make it permanent. Each EU member now can follow, but does not ave to.

Watch how perfectly Tesla FSD (Supervised) handles all these pedestrians and bikers on narrow roads in Amsterdam, the biking capital of the world. It's a thing of beauty. Lot of fun to watch all these FSD videos coming from the Netherlands.

@RealRusty Mich würde auch Interessieren wie das Auto reagiert wenn ein Einsatzwagen der Polizei die Autobahn sperrt, etwa wegen Teilen auf der Fahrbahn. Dabei fahren die ja immer in Schlangenlinien hin und her und werden langsamer bis hin zum stop.

Tesla FSD reagiert sofort auf die von hinten kommende Sirenenfahrzeuge. Wie jeder normaler Fahrer es halt auch tun würde. 😏 #-FSDDomino

@tade_ode17 @SamiAhonen13 @KRoelandschap The car drove clearly slow enough (e.g. in Germany we would call 10 kph walking speed [there are legal precedent]) to maneuver around that truck. While there were peds. near the truck, the driver had no legal obligation to yield to them there. Same in Finland.

@TheJoeBold @SamiAhonen13 @KRoelandschap How on earth is that nonsense? get out of the traffic if you would not stop in the same situation. Anyone could walk behind the truck in front of you, which is why you need to stop if there is a vehicle blocking your view. As said above, in Finland they took ur licence for that.

@SamiAhonen13 @KRoelandschap Also, @SamiAhonen13, there is no ped. crossing near the Truck. The only marked crossing is at 3 sec. The marking seen before the truck is the advance warning sign (J38) for raising awareness of speed bumps / traffic plateaus and such: "drempelmarkering"

@SamiAhonen13 @KRoelandschap Buddy, it is you not knowing: Road Traffic Act §27: When approaching a pedestrian crossing, drivers must use special caution & drive slow enough to stop if needed. Give way only to pedestrians who are on the crossing or clearly preparing to step onto it.

Finally. After 18 months of patience, FSD is officially approved and live in the Netherlands. I’ve been driving with it for 2 days now. And the experience is on another level. It feels like the future unfolding in real time. The precision. The intelligence. The confidence of the system. This is not incremental progress. This is a clear step forward in how mobility works. Huge thanks to Elon Musk and the entire AI team at Tesla. From a professional perspective, this shows what is possible when software, data, and real-world deployment come together at scale. The question is no longer if this will take over. The question is how fast it will expand. This is a turning point. @elonmusk

@SamiAhonen13 @KRoelandschap That's nonsense. Just because there is a pedestrian crossing does not mean one has to stop. There must be pedestrians and an intend from them to actually cross, as the only pedestrians close to the crossing just went straight, there was no need to stop.

@KRoelandschap Great, but in Finland the driver would have lost his/her driver's license (and be charged for offence) for that if/when there was pedestrian crossing right in front of the truck and Tesla/FSD did not stop there before continuing.....

@medranocanocano @TSLA_inside_ While I do not condone speeding, your statement is false! You can allow it to go 5, 10, 15% over - possibly more. To do so tab the FSD part on the screen and you can chose. There is also an option that specifically enables situational aware speed control.

@TSLA_inside_ By not allowing the FSD to go over the speed limit, the EU is killing the possible popularity of the product. Without the ability to go over the speed limit, I would cancel my FSD tomorrow.

@MRocktaschel Polizei anrufen und Abschleppen lassen. Die 5 Meter Regel ist für den Rettungseinsatz unerlässlich.

5m Bereich wird einfach ohne Rücksicht auf Verluste zugeparkt Opa mit Rollator muss dann halt die Straßenseite mit Gleisen wechseln. Auf x nehmen sich Falschparker gerne gegenseitig in Schutz. Welche Ausrede hören wir diesmal?

Das leitet sich nicht nur aus den Regeln der StVO heraus, sondern es gibt auch ein Rechtsgutachten des UDV, welches bei Bußgeldentscheiden gerne zur Hand genommen wird. @houghtonc79 @ctrlaltrefuel @Rainmaker1973 It does not know laws in the sense that it knows the text written in it. It is trained on the relevant behaviour the law expects. And yes, it will know the correct behaviour across countries, as long as it is allowed to be used in that country - otherwise it will shut off.

@TheJoeBold @ctrlaltrefuel @Rainmaker1973 So if I'm touring Europe in it from the UK it knows all the different laws and regulations for each country, that's fairly clever tbf but what if it gets it wrong and drives where or when it shouldn't. Who is liable for prosecution?

@houghtonc79 @ctrlaltrefuel @Rainmaker1973 Because its AI has the specific training. Tesla's FSD is adjusted in training based on the country it is in. There are even messages within the system shown on the screen notifying when the car nears the country's border.

Once you are on the Junction and the emergency vehicle passed you are to clear the junction carefully (you would not know if its green as the lights are behind you at that point)

@1730 @RadwegH "möglichst weit rechts", laut StVO. Radfahrer sollen auch 1m zu längs-parkenden Autos Abstand halten. Restfahrbahnbreite hier wohl grob 4,2m. Ø-🚗-Breite 2,05m. Ø-🚲-Breite 0,65m und hält hier grob 0,5m Abstand. Bleibt noch 1m. Hier darf man nicht mit einem 🚗einen 🚴‍♂️ überholen.

@RadwegH Rechtsfahrgebot gilt auch für Radler.

Wenn man in einer Straße wie dieser aus Platzgründen einen Radfahrer nicht überholen kann, muss man eben hinter ihm herfahren. Die Welt hört davon nicht auf, sich zu drehen. Der Fahrer hinter mir war jedenfalls nicht besonders begeistert.
