Love this! I spent my day walking a group of primary educators through the beginning of their trauma-informed journey. 😊

@shhartley @pruecar I currently have 400 odd hours listed in on my account (pre PhD too!) and haven’t entered any new ones in a year or so…with 1.5 years to go. 🤷🏼‍♀️ the current system doesn’t work on many levels…I wonder how and where we can recognise our teachers are very skilled up individuals?!

@pruecar Staff spending 8 hours on Saturday volunteering at a community fundraising event to raise school funds for both reading resources for our students and to staff our school 🤔 how much more productive can we be 🤷🏼‍♀️ #fullyfundourschools

Productivity improvements need to be identified and agreed, and we know that teachers have ideas about how to do this while enhancing learning outcomes for students in the classroom. I am committed to this process and serious about improving teachers’ pay and conditions.

One of my highest priorities as Minister is ensuring a significant uplift in teacher salaries. Raising the pay and conditions of NSW public school teachers would go a long way to helping solve the teacher shortage crisis that was left by the former Liberal National Government.

@TransportforNSW blocking 6 disabled parking spots at Hornsby Station for an empty marquee and for “traffic controllers” to stand and block with cars is not ok. Surprisingly (not), people with disabilities still need access to train and train replacement services! @Matt_KeanMP

@TrainsInfo Hi @TrainsInfo…the marquee is still here blocking 3 disabled parking spaces. I ended up needing to park up the other end of the car park!

@TrainsInfo Thank you. Appreciate you looking into it. Transport with mobility issues is hard enough normally, throw in train replacements and those parking spots are depended on even more!

@TrainsInfo The large empty marquee belonged to someone 🤷🏼‍♀️! Is it for the train replacement services running at the station? The workers had something related to traffic control on their hi-vis vests.

@TrainsInfo This was at 1pm today. I was fortunate to get the last spot, but at least 3 cars seeking the disabled parking came past before I left my car!

Still no treatments… “Techniques often used in chronic fatigue syndrome are also likely to be useful in long COVID patients. These may include activity-pacing, sleep hygiene, pain medication, and increasing fluid and salt intake.”
The Conversation - Australia + New Zealand@ConversationEDU

Most long COVID symptoms are similar to that of chronic fatigue syndrome, so there are things we can learn from existing research. Techniques used in chronic fatigue syndrome are also likely to be useful in long COVID patients. @MCRI_for_kids @latrobe bit.ly/41vYIkq
