The idea that there could be something that isn't for everybody is fundamentally the most horrifying metaphysical concept imaginable for a Liberal. Everything must be for everyone. There can be nothing unique or particular. Nothing can be exclusionary. Nothing can be discriminatory, even when nature itself is inherently exclusionary or discriminatory. And asking Liberals to simply accept that this is the nature of the world is to inherently ask them to abandon being Liberals in the first place. Some might do it, but the overwhelming majority will not. They'd rather wage war on nature herself than ever admit that their utopian fantasies are wrong and unworkable.

@ChristianHeiens I remember when I was part of a noise group that was getting flack because not enough black people were showing up to our events. "Guys we make utterly unpalatable music. We're lucky if ten people show up to any of this crap much less blacks. What should we rap over it?"

I want to elect Republicans. I want to defeat democrats. However, I will tell you this: If our Republican Senate majority does NOT pass the SAVE America Act, I’m going scorched earth on incumbent Senators up for re-election in 2028 — peacefully. You will see me come to Alaska, Arkansas, Idaho, Indiana, North Dakota, Oklahoma, & Louisiana. Give us election integrity or you’ll see repeats of what we did this year in Louisiana & Texas.

Let's check in on what the 150 IQ geniuses in the boomer Republican establishment have done this week. - Attack young American men calling them lazy and entitled saying they should go fight in Iran and Cuba - Attack young White patriots peacefully marching for America's 250th birthday in DC while genocidal communists are in DC chanting "86 47 - Kill the President" to which you've said nothing - Allowed 3 foreign communists to win house seats in congress when they could be denaturalized and deported with the stroke of a pen - Ran a smear campaign against JD Vance for negotiating peace in Iran I'm sorry but you idiots are squandering what should have been a massive rallying cry for the right on our 250th birthday. You are unserious perennial losers and all of you need to be replaced by Millennial and Gen Z patriots who know how to win and know how to speak to the fucking base. We will go to war with you people in the primaries and we will take over the party. You are as incompetent as the Democrats and the only reason you've gotten away with it is because Charlie Kirk, Donald Trump and JD Vance have carried you kicking and screaming across the finish line.

He is undoubtedly correct Why is public transport, public school, and all the rest unusable if you’re the sort of person who is a net taxpayer? Why do American cities have higher per capita civilian death rates than active war zones? For the same reason that Europe once hanged ~1% of each generation for centuries: a small segment of the population will cause huge problems for everyone else when left to its own devices and so must be forced to do otherwise You can “oppress” the bottom quintile by enforcing standards of behavior and decency, or you can watch your country go to hell thanks to the ravages and exactions of the problem-causers

Segregation was bad because it was a bandaid on a cut artery. Lincoln famously stated “there is a physical difference between the white and black races which I believe will forever forbid the two races living together in terms of social and political equality”. Under segregation, we still had to live together, and it still had to be enforced. The reverse of John Jay’s writings in the Federalist Papers #2 are also true - that whites and blacks are different people, descended from different ancestors, with different beliefs and experiences, with different manners and customs, and could not live together under social and political equality without tension, fear, paranoia, guilt, hostility, bitterness, resentment, and division. That’s the essence of the left’s charge and claim of whiteness (white standards and norms), white supremacy (dominant white standards and norms in a society), systemic racism (enforcing white standards and norms), and white privilege (navigating our standards and norms without a second thought), and they’re not wrong; they just take the anti-white side. To ensure both whites and blacks the ability of self determination as different and unique people, prominent abolitionists had the right idea: to colonize freed slaves in Africa or the Caribbean. People like James Monroe spearheaded such an effort establishing Liberia on the west coast of Africa for this very purpose, and Lincoln supported the same policy. Colonization or repatriation of freed blacks would have allowed them the “blackness” and “black privilege” that they lacked in the United States, where they could be free to be surrounded by and to govern themselves as a people, to set up and enjoy a social and political systems and structures that benefited them, to experience the “privilege” of never having to think about race in their daily interactions. That’s why segregation was bad. It didn’t solve the problem, and in retrospect, made it worse. The social and political strife of race relations that has plagued our country since cannot be denied.

Can someone explain to me like i am 5yo why segregation is/was bad? We clearly don’t get along….Why do we have to live around eachother? Instead of more violence, why can’t be just separate? Legitimate question.

This was posted on Friday, June 5. I immediately responded and pointed out that not a single witness had testified that Karmelo ever said this. Then, on Saturday, June 6, defense attorney Mike Howard used these EXACT WORDS while questioning one of his witnesses, asking whether Karmelo had made that statement on the day of the stabbing. Is it weird? Yes. I’m not going to pretend it isn’t. The phrasing was identical. And I’m pointing it out.

You know how in the New Testament, Jesus was always hanging out with the tax collectors? That's because at the time, tax collectors were the lowest form of human life. Absolute filth. Greedy, mendacious, parasitic liars who the broader society rightfully condemned and shunned. Jesus hung out with them to show that God's grace is available to everyone. However, if Jesus were starting his ministry in 2026, he would be hanging out with journalists.
Lyndsey Fifield@lyndseyfifield

I bucked all advice from my friends (and resisted my conservative bias) and decided to fully trust the Times journalists. As they left my home they asked that I not talk to any other outlets and I insisted then and repeatedly over the following weeks that I would keep my word and only share this story with them. But then the weeks dragged on. They kept coming back to us saying the editors needed more. I needed to go on the record (okay). We need more screenshots (okay). I met every bench mark they set, eager to provide more sources or evidence as needed. After the story went up I began to ask them … wait, where are the stories from the other women? Where are their accusations of sexual assault? Why am I the focus? Why are there 11 paragraphs dedicated to detailing my work history (more than has been published about Graham’s by far)? Why does it say “nobody could corroborate” when I offered them sources that COULD corroborate? Why did they include an out of context quote from a friend joking “do not call Graham” after I called off my wedding? (Because she knew I would never). Where were the screenshots they’d said they would use? Or the mention that I’d supported local democrats and that most of my family (and husband) are liberal? The editors said it was too much, they explained. The Times also failed to include any mention that I DID confide in multiple friends through the years that Graham had been abusive — long before he was running for office. Those friends confirm they told the Times so. It dawned on me that this really was a set up all along. The journalists I trusted who convinced me to share a story I never wanted to tell methodically delayed and twisted this into a gift to the Platner campaign. Violating the trust of his victims. Shattering the trust I placed in them with the most vulnerable story of my life. And at the end of my call with them I reluctantly accepted their insistence that this was still a powerful story and that I had done a brave thing. And I thanked them for all the hard work they had put into it. Still fawning after all these years.
