@VitalVegas I will always be convinced that people who have careers in marketing have never spoken to a single person who doesn't have a career in marketing since day 1 of college. They have zero concept of what interests normal people.

I wonder who is approving the marketing and advertising plans for the Las Vegas Convention & Visitors Association, (LVCVA) because their ideas are consistently expensive and tone deaf. In five years of daily interaction with people planning a vacation here, not once has someone said they wish our airport had disco ball features. I do hear regularly from would be guests who want free parking, low or no resort fees, free bottled water & coffee. Our visitors want to have a great experience they can afford. Selfie walls should be second to that. #vegas #lasvegas #vegasstarfish #travel #vacations

@VitalVegas I've never hit it, so I'm not certain, but isn't the megabucks paid out in an annuity? Would make sense that they didn't have an extra couple hundo for a tip if so.

Follow-up: informed older couple from Iowa tipped zero for a $10 million jackpot, not even the $4 left on the machine after the jackpot. Cashed it out and took it with them. Do better, humans.

@VitalVegas It's hard to justify the time and effort of a Vegas vacation if you can drive an hour and, while not the same level of spectacle, have a similar casino experience ultimately going back to your own bed afterwards. Plus, the under 30 folk don't gamble, so that demographic is lost.

I love hearing people tell me how bars/restaurants should be paying all staff upwards of $20/hr while eating a $14 burger and drinking a $6 beer and I pretend to be interested so I will be tipped $5. The flip would be a $40 burger, $16 beer and I ignore them.
