The engineering works on Grinton Moor to create a crossing where a bridge was washed away during the floods are continuing with great pace. Steel tubes are being installed to divert the waterway so a temporary bridge and road can be constructed. More Pix scenicview.co.uk/wednesday-14th…

A week on from the devastating flash flooding in Swaledale, Marske Choir came to Reeth to sing ‘Beautiful Dale, Home of the Swale’ for BBC Look North cameras. The whole community joined in to help get across the message that Swaledale is very much open for business.

The service providers complain that only pass holders use the services and cut them back because no fares are generated but that is because the services are only useful to retired people. Put a timetable on that can be used in the evenings.
