Christ Inao Oulai 🇨🇮 (20, Trabzonspor) A 6/8 hybrid that I think is better as a 6 right now. Receives the ball from his CBs with real composure, carries it forward and has the bravery to play line breaking passes in tight areas. His progressive carry and xA numbers are both in the 95th+ percentile for DM/CMs in the Super Lig. Still raw in the final third, which is why he's not an 8 yet. But the ceiling as a top level 6 is very high. A big World Cup could do a lot for his stock.

Jannik Schuster (19, CB) to Brentford could be another incredibly smart piece of business from The Bees. A complete defender with two standout traits: defensive anticipation and IQ, and a long range passing ability that very few center backs have. Always looking to play that killer ball over the defence rather than taking the safe option. For £15 million, I can see him being sold for 3x that in 2 to 3 years time.

@TheLebScout +His shots aren't bad, but they could be much better, and he's aware of this and has stated that he's working on improving them. The reason he appears to be a number 6 is because of the role assigned to him; in reality, he could very well play as a number 8, 8.5, or 10 😉

A player i'm really interested in after today's performance is Adem Zorgane. Last season had a great season at Charleroi, amazing passer and dictator, decent defensive instincts and aerially solid. His move to #USG is a good one for his career, and he's already started the season off superbly. #JPL

By the way, there is another Algerian midfield maestro who doesn’t get the recognition he deserves. Adem Zorgane. What a display again today in the Belgian Cup final against Anderlecht. Watching him play football feels like art. The way he manipulates and controls the ball is so elegant. Drops deep to build from the back, plays intelligent vertical passes, constantly looks to create chances and dictate the rhythm of the game. Today he even produced a phenomenal vertical pass while turning under pressure that genuinely stood out. Players like him are often the hidden heroes of a team. Just look at the midfield profiles at Paris Saint-Germain. Zorgane belongs to that kind of footballing category. He will play the FIFA World Cup with Algeria national football team. And if he performs there the way many expect him to, a big transfer will surely follow. Everything needed for the top level is there.

Albian Hajdari (22, Hoffenheim) isn't being talked about enough. Defensively he's already at a high level, wins ground duels consistently and rarely looks panicked. What makes him interesting is the creativity on top of that. His open play xA and deep progression numbers are both excellent for a center back. Progressive pass completion is the one concern.

One of my top options to add to a top midfield this summer is Lamine Camara. A balanced box to bix midfielder that progresses the ball consistently through carries while contributing to chance creation without needing to be the focal point. Also wins the ball back at a rate that very few midfielders in the big five leagues match. He doesn't specialize in one phase and disappear in another. Could he end up at a Liverpool, Man United, or somewhere else?

I don't know how anyone in that Liverpool board can look at the performances this season and warrant Arne Slot being allowed to stay as the manager for next season. Liverpool is one of the greatest clubs in the history of this sport, and we must be held to a higher standard than what is being produced with Arne Slot. Under Klopp, the players played harder, the fans were more connected, the club felt like a huge family. Under Slot, it's a mess. Lackluster effort, poor football, horrible OOP tactics. From the first game of the season we saw the same issues that we are still seeing now. From the 4-2 win vs Bournemouth, to the 3-2 loss vs Man United. The only reason Arne Slot has a Premier League to his resume is because of one man, Mohamed Salah. The only reason Arne Slot's job is still safe this season, is because of one man Dominik Szoboszlai. Don't get me started on all the players starting to leave. Robertson, Salah, potentially Alisson and Jones. Arne Slot does not deserve to be the manager of this football club for another season, let alone the next game.

Ismaëlo Ganiou has been one of the standout young center backs in Ligue 1 this season. Playing as the right CB in Lens' back three, he's a big reason why they can build so cleanly from the back. His forward pass volume is among the highest for center backs across the big five leagues, and he carries into the final third at a rate that gives Lens a genuine extra option in buildup. Defensively, he wins ground duels at a high clip and rarely looks like he's scrambling. Aerial duels are the one area where the numbers lag behind. 20 years old, playing every week in a demanding system.
