the new #invincible episode has a few very cool shots but it makes the rest of the animation stand out even worse, amazon testing how little they can allocate to this show while retaining an audience makes me think less of prime video as a whole

Christianity is a really funny religion, man…
Imagine thinking that whatever it is that created this majestic and possibly infinite universe, in all its complexity, scale, and structure, impregnated a Jewish girl somewhere in Palestine 2,000 years ago,can get jealous of other gods,can regret its actions,can command one tribe to commit genocide against another,endorses slavery,gets angry,thinks blood sacrifice is a rational route to forgiveness and creates eternal suffering for people who do not believe very unconvincing stories in a book.
Think about how completely ridiculous that leap is.
Christianity (and its little sister, Islam, which believes the language of this concept of a creator is Arabic…in light of the thousands of beautiful and rich languages on the planet) really is an insult to whatever majestic being created the universe, if there is indeed one. And images like these below actually solidify the position of atheists or the non-religious…in fact, it is exactly why they are atheists.
The sheer majesty and complexity of the universe don’t push atheists or any rational, non-indoctrinated mind, for that matter toward religion…It often does the opposite. It highlights just how implausible and, at times, absurd many religious doctrines appear by comparison.
Because they hold such a concept…that which would create this universe…to such a high standard, that organized religions and their books, when you read them, end up looking really, really silly.

We need to stop pretending the movies were perfect adaptations. They sucked in a lot of ways.
Just to list a few things they fucked up off the top of my head:
-Ruined Ron in favor of Hermione
-Ginny was not Ginny
-Made HBP a comedy when it should have been the second or third darkest film
-Removed all the mystery aspects from GOF when it was written as a mystery book
-Removed almost all of the Voldemort memories (one of the most important parts of the main villain)
-Didn’t get the Quidditch World Cup
-Missed 80% of Quidditch games at Hogwarts
-Made those who haven’t read the books want Harry & Hermione together (Have Steve Kloves to thank for that)
-Took away Grindelwald’s redemption in favor of making him tell Voldemort to kill Dumbledore instead
-Completely changed Sirius’s character in OOTP
And I could list 50 other things that they didn’t have time to cover, and I’ll probably think of another 20 things they messed up if I actually sit down and think about it. The movies were great, but let’s not pretend they’re perfect.

On June 24, 2009, Michael Jackson had just finished rehearsals for his big comeback tour. Around midnight he got home, had a late dinner from his nutritionist and went to his bedroom to rest but he couldn’t sleep.. Michael Jackson had severe insomnia and he relied on medication so much that a medication room was even built right next to his bedroom. That night like many before he went to his medication room and his personal doctor Conrad Murray gave him a dose of propofol.. a powerful hospital grade anesthetic usually only used during surgery. Problem is… Murray wasn’t qualified to use it and this time the dosage was too much. So after the injection Murray left the room and when he came back Michael was barely breathing, his pulse was weak, and he was fading fast but instead of calling 911 immediately.. Murray panicked, ran downstairs and called Michael’s assistant. By the time help arrived it was already too late.. Michael Jackson was gone and Dr Conrad Murray was later sentenced to four years in prison.
