Winter is usually a bad time for me, as I know it is for many people, but it’s been an amazing start to the year… The past few years have been particularly rough for me in terms of mental health and unemployment after dropping out of uni (yes, like Strike and Robin!) I’ve struggled with depression, anxiety, low confidence, nasty thoughts of self-loathing, etc. But my niche little Strike hobby has helped me massively. It’s the best kind of escapism and has gotten me out of the house when usually I’d spend months in bed. I’ve had quite a few trips over the past few months with my amazing friends @LudicrousMonica @suekmoorhen and @badly_wired seeing Strike locations and – I’m sure it’s okay to say now – for the filming of The Running Grave, which we were extremely privileged to have been invited to (I can’t share any details, but it’s going to be incredible, trust me!) I treasure their friendship a lot and to experience something so special together has really made us quite close. We are Strike family! Spring is on the way, and hopefully my brain continues to behave. I’m so looking forward to the warmer weather, the longer days, and hopefully more Strike trips this year! Things are looking up in Denmark Street.

1/2 Taking a few days off work to devour #TheHallmarkedMan was the best decision I could have made. 😍 These books have become more than just a favourite series, they’re a source for childish excitement in my adult life, a shared passion through which I’ve found new friends.

I’ve been so busy that I’m getting through THM slowly. It’s killing me, because it’s so good, and it’s all I’m thinking about all day. I just wish I could binge read it 😫
