Prior to the 2022 World Cup, I observed Australia’s World Cup squad keenly for the African names on there. At the time, I was a writer and researcher for a pan-African media company and was searching for Africans not playing for African countries who’ll be at the World Cup. That was how I found these Australian stories. The story of how people dared to move. Of how people rose through thick and thin to inspire their future. I'll write more about it later today. Stay informed. My name is Rilwan, I love and write about football systems, memories and the depths behind the game. Follow me and repost if you want more of this.

My husband met me with 1 degree. I attained 6 degrees in this marriage. 4 whilst we lived in NY and the last 2 in Boston! Who do y’all think took care of the kids? Marriage isn’t something that’s gonna hold you back if you have a loving & supporting partner who understands you!

Some of you are the reason some men think those of us who can't do all that you do are lazy... In the real world, tell me ma, are you supposed to be doing all that? You are married for 20 years plus which means your kids are now grown ups... Were you always like that even while you were birthing your kids and nursing them?

A man returns from the doctor and tells his wife that the doctor has told him he has only 24 hours to live. Given this prognosis, the man asks his wife for sex. Naturally, she agrees, and they make love. About six hours later, the husband goes to his wife and says, "Honey, you know I now have only 18 hours to live. Could we please do it one more time?" Of course, the wife agrees, and they do it again. Later, as the man gets into bed, he looks at his watch and realizes that he now has only 8 hours left. He touches his wife shoulder, and asks, "Honey, please...just one more time." She says, "Of course, Dear," and they make love for the third time. After this session, the wife rolls over and falls asleep. The man, however, worried about his impending death, tosses and turns, until he's down to 4 more hours. He taps his wife, who rouses. "Honey, I have only 4 more hours. Do you think we could..." At this point the wife sits up and says, "Listen, I have to get up in the morning. You don't!"..

The Football Association (English FA) has published its reports of what Premier League clubs spent on agents between February 4 2025 and February 3 2026. It's mind-blowing. The 20 Premier League clubs spent a total of £460.3m (€560m) on agents fees only in that 12-month period. For perspective, that's bigger than what Ligue 1 clubs spent in the summer transfer window, and only slightly below what La Liga clubs spent. Chelsea paid the highest fees to agents at £65m. Aston Villa are second at £38m. Man City — £37m, Liverpool — £33m, Arsenal — £32m, Man Utd — £32m and Wolves —£25m are the next highest. Ipswich Town spent more than £11m on agents, the highest in the Championship. That's £3m less than what the entire League One paid to agents. Across the four professional divisions and the National League, more than half a billion pounds were paid to agents in the last one year. More than £4m was paid to agents in the women’s game with Chelsea leading that too, at more than £1m. The game, as always, is the game. This is why other European leagues are finding it hard to compete against Premier League clubs in the market. These are ridiculous numbers. The Green Brief ( Greensreport)
Great idea. 100 MW plant in each state. Here's what it costs (estimates in dollars and naira at ₦1,300/$): Gas-fired (simple cycle) – $70–$100 million (₦91–130 billion) Gas-fired (combined cycle) – $120–$150 million (₦156–195 billion) Solar (with batteries) – $150–$200 million (₦195–260 billion) Small modular nuclear – $200–$300 million (₦260–390 billion) Waste-to-power – $80–$120 million (₦104–156 billion) – bonus: solves Nigeria's waste problem Now, how much do states get annually from FAAC? In January 2026 alone, total net allocation to states was ₦703.26 billion (about $540 million). Top states: Lagos: ₦55.83 billion ($43 million) Delta: ₦47.15 billion ($36 million) Akwa Ibom: ₦35.89 billion ($28 million) Bayelsa: ₦35.24 billion ($27 million) Rivers: ₦35.08 billion ($27 million) For the full year 2026, states are budgeting a combined ₦37 trillion (about $28.5 billion), with ₦24.87 trillion for capital projects. Bayelsa is already commissioning a 60MW gas plant this April. Others can follow. Better yet: public-private partnership. States partner with investors. Investors build the plant. Share the profits. States pay back over time. No upfront burden. Power gets delivered. Everyone wins. The money is there. The partners are waiting. The question is: will states act or keep talking
Osas@osazenoo

This is what states should be doing. Imagine 100 MW power plant in each state. Thats additional 3,600 MW to our output. Mind you, constant power will not be cheap.

@kohzyCoco @Chimaforkeeps I said if she threatens me with the telling my wife talk. Hope you read all I wrote? But my first move is to tell her to start going back to where she was coming from without scolding her or changing it for her.

Update😂😂 The uncle first tried to switch it. He started scolding the girl, saying she’s in school but following old men around, asking what she’s doing in a place like this. The girl didn’t even argue much, she just changed it for him immediately and said she should call his wife so she can explain everything herself. Everywhere went quiet. He lowered his voice, trying to calm her down. She wasn’t smiling again. She told him he left his wife at home and is here carrying young girls, now he wants to lecture her. She brought out her phone and said she would call his wife if he doesn’t stop talking. At this point voices don increase. Neighbors started peeping. Two people even stepped out asking what’s going on. The men started trying to cover things up, laughing awkwardly, saying it’s family matter. That’s when another twist happened. One guy that came to visit his friend in this compound walked closer to see the noise. He looked well… then said he knows the man. Apparently he’s related to the man’s wife. Omo. That was when real panic start. The men quickly started moving to their cars. The girls separated. Nobody was smiling again. Everything just scattered at once. Honestly I’m shocked. Men no longer go to hotels again, they now rent flat, furnish it well and use it to carry babes like office. Now everybody has left. The place is quiet again like nothing happened. I wish I was jobless, I for don sneak trace one of them see how this will end. I wish them well sha😂😂

There’s a flat in the compound next to mine. I see it clearly from my kitchen, especially when I’m cooking. At first I thought it was normal neighbors, but after months of watching, something feels off. The flat is used by four men. Late 40s. Corporate look. Wedding ring vibes. The cars even confirm it, Siena, big SUVs with double back seats, proper family cars. These are clearly married men. But they don’t live there. They come one at a time. Sometimes two. I’ve never seen all four together. They stay few hours… sometimes they sleep over… then leave quietly. Then the girls started coming. Different girls. Early 20s. Some come with textbooks. Some with lab coats. Some wearing departmental shirts. No guessing needed, these are students. The pattern became obvious. One man comes. One girl comes. They stay. He leaves. Another day, another man. Another girl. Same routine. No noise. No disturbance. Just quiet rotation. Until this evening. Two of the men came together. Two cars. They parked almost at the same time and went inside laughing like close friends. After a while, one of them came outside to answer a call. I heard him say: “Okay, when you’re coming, come with your friend.” He went back inside. About 20 minutes later, a girl arrived. Young. Holding books. Definitely student. She entered the flat. Few minutes later, another girl arrived too. She looked a bit older and more confident. She went in. Not up to two minutes… the door opened. Voices. The first girl stepped out fast. She looked confused… then shocked. She looked at one of the men and said: “Uncle…?” Everybody froze. The second man looked at the second girl… then at the first girl… then back again. The second girl said: “Wait… that’s my cousin.” Silence. Turns out… the “come with your friend” he told her… she brought her cousin. His sister’s daughter. Same family. Same flat. Same setup. Right now the voices are getting louder. One of them is pacing. One girl is on the phone. The other looks like she’s about to cry. The men are trying to calm things down. I’m literally in my kitchen pretending to cook but I no dey miss anything. This is happening as I type. I don’t know how this will end yet… but it’s getting messy. Make I observe first. I go give una update soon.

Baddy, I’m sorry if this comes off as insensitive, but I need to ask. You’re a big account with well over 100k followers, which means you likely earn at least $700 every week. Are you saying you couldn’t save up to ₦1m of your own money to contribute to your surgery? Let’s even leave aside the fact that people weren’t clearly told the donations were only for one leg. How much have you personally contributed so far? Because from the outside, it looks like you’re doing better than a lot of the people being asked to donate. Earning close to a million naira every two weeks from revenue and gigs, yet people who are not even sure where their next meal will come from are expected to give from what little they have to send you to Egypt just doesn’t sit right.

God bless you and everybody that has contributed towards my journey one way or another, please retweet this so it can reach a larger audience ❤️
