@mrgrozz The issue is, most of the tickets sold, aren't going to people who plan to attend the event. They go to bot scalpers who essentially take over the supply end of the spectrum. No more incentive for scalpers to mass buy means more fans can buy tickets directly.

Here’s a reminder of how the price of how an unleaded L of gas breaks down in Ontario, if it costs $1.60 CDN/L: Crude oil cost (almost 1/2) - $0.78 Refinery cost - $0.28 Gas station overhead/retailer - $0.11 TAXES: Federal excise tax - $0.10 ONT gas tax (was $0.147) - $0.09 HST at 13% - $0.18 “Clean fuel cost” - charged to oil companies, naturally passed on to the consumer - $0.06 Basically, 27-28% of the gas we buy at the pump - taxes.

Important to remember that this decision applies to the so-called “fentanyl tariffs” on Canada which are largely mooted by CUSMA, and the “Liberation Day” tariffs on rest of the world. Not the s.232 sectoral tariffs on Canadian steel, aluminum, etc.
