@CurNon341291 @DogNinjaHHT @sonjabovy_ Understood, and you’re not wrong. For me, it just didn’t have that classic feeling. The best thing about Kendrick’s albums—all of them—is that you always have a strong case when calling them classics. We’re in rare air.

@TheMicIsOn_ @DogNinjaHHT @sonjabovy_ DAMN overly commercial is insane... It's a conscious album that has commercial appeal. You don't make songs like YAH, PRIDE, FEAR, FEEL, LUST, GOD, DUCKWORTH if you're trying to make a commercial album. Every song is part of the concept.

@karimdames @DameDeadAF The hits on DAMN made a lot of people miss the depth of the concept. It was a deeply conscious album about how decisions (wickedness vs weakness) and human emotions bring us closer to or further from God. And it somehow blew up commercially. That makes it even more impressive.

There's depth to what he's saying but if you just listen to the lyrics its really not that hard to grasp what he's talking about. And the songs themselves are sonically great.
